At a remote picturesque farm, you and your team will help prepare for the annual Fall Harvest festival. But be aware, the traditions of the region are darker than you may expect.

This is another great room 13th Hour. The set and atmosphere is top notch as always. If there is anyone in the United States with more impressive sets than 13th Hour, I've never played them. Lots of puzzles, lots of satisfying and magical moments, and plenty of wow factor. I'd feel bad for anyone who played this early in their escape room adventure, because very few places are going to be able to meet the standard. Without spoilling anything I'd say that I feel like there is one aspect of the room that felt out of place and didn't really need to be included, but it did not diminish the overall game. We drive 10 hours one-way to play Fall Harvest. It was worth every second and we will do it again as soon as the next room opens!
There is a good mix of puzzle types in the room, not all of them are puzzle types that I enjoy, but that's why we play as a team. There were a couple puzzles that felt like time sinks, but generally speaking they all had satisfying endings and we escaped with plenty of time left, so whatever time sink they may have been was clearly within reasonable limits.
Very few places do sets and atmosphere as well as 13th Hour
The owner is always great every time we get to chat with him. You can tell he loves creating these experiences for people. The GMs were good, but not great. That said, it was a late game that was running slightly behind schedule - which actually caused our start time to be delayed - and I'm sure they were ready to go home, which is understandable.
Yes
If I could give this a thumbs sideways I would. The story was the weakest aspect of the room. That said, there is a story that ties all together at the end. We do wonder how this impacts the overarching story at 13th Hour...
Hard
We have played 300+ rooms and despite being down a player, we had ~21 minutes left. It was difficult enough to be enjoyable without being discouraging.

If there was one thing I would improve in this room, it would be the implementation of the live actor.
Somewhat
I say somewhat mostly due to the size of the room, but there are also a couple other minor aspects that require some physical activity.
The vast majority of the room is physically accessible.

This game is definitely up with one of my favorites! The atmosphere, set design, and puzzles were all very well made!
This game is definitely more scattered and sometimes itโs hard to find where to pick up after solving things
Set design and special effects are all amazing as always

Iโve done all of the rooms here and this was definitely their best. Best set design, best props, best puzzles. It was fun and flowed great. However, the music was insanely loud and not in a good way. It made teamwork communication almost impossible at times. The live actor could have been really cool if the employee was into it, but it definitely wasnโt necessary and awkward at times.
Set design was amazing. Extremely immersive.
Okโฆaverage employee experience.

Iโve never heard of a theme like this!
Hard
A lot of 3-4 step puzzles that required teamwork and checking over answers/sequences. This would be super difficult for a group of inexperienced escape room players.

That was my least favorite part of the story. Kind of irrelevant component. And the employee wasnโt into it.
Not at all
From the standpoint of someone without impairment issues, Iโd say it looked decently accessible to me minus one part where you had 2 stairs.

Iโm giving it a thumbs up because the set design was very grand and well done, and the puzzles were layered, but overall this was a thumbs down experience for me. There was no story line or guidance with the puzzles (lacked in flow big time) the GM was not super helpful (running several rooms) and the โactorโ wasnโt an actor, it was just the GM that you engage with in person a few times and adds nothing to the story. The puzzles were very intricate (which Iโm a fan of) but felt confusing at times. The ending was very anticlimactic for 13th which left the experience even more disappointing. I wanted to love this room after playing campground, but that didnโt end up being the case.
GM stated they were short staffed and were both running several rooms. Intro GM asked if we wanted the rules, and robbed us of the intro story (which we never got anyways)

There was never a story, the game had no story line outside of preparing for the harvestโฆ

This was not a live actor. You engage with your GM maybe twice? And it adds nothing to the game

Absolutely incredible room. 13th Hour knocks it out of the park YET AGAIN! Always fantastic rooms. The set for this room was phenomenal. Great storyline as well. This room was 2 hours, and you NEEDED those 2 hours. This room is quite intense, so bring your best puzzlers with you! Go play this room!
Great puzzles. Super innovative and fun. Did require some visual cueing for completions., though.
Absolutely breathtaking set.

Terpeca-level goodness if I've ever seen it. Brilliant set design, fun puzzles (...after puzzle, after puzzle...), some unique actor interactions, and a few wow moments. Though it's missing a key element I can't say without spoiling the game, and not all of the puzzles make sense (I can forgive a few over the course of 120 minutes...), this is a MUST PLAY in the U.S. and easily the best game north of the Carolinas and south of Boston.
Very good but just missing a cherry on top to make this truly a top game worldwide.

Easily my favorite and the most refined experience at 13th Hour, out of this, Campground and Oz. Fall Harvest grew in both scale and size from their previous builds but also shows restraint in its difficulty level in a way that Campground would have benefited from without sacrificing puzzle complexity. An excellent use of a very large space that keeps you traversing back and forth for the entirety of the game in a very satisfying way and โa-haโ moments that manifest from both solves and story progression in equal measure. Fall Harvest is a wonderful build with a sophistication and fairness in puzzle design with a satisfying sense of progression throughout its two hour run time. A puzzle could have used some signposting to connect two disparate pieces that did lead to a satisfying solve and we ran into a completely un-clued search fail that our game host quickly intervened and assisted with. Overall, the puzzling relied heavily on verbal communication across a large space and all of the solutions felt logical and earned. This game would play well with two enthusiasts who have played together frequently but can easily accommodate six players of any experience level. I liked Oz, I loved Campground, and I adore Fall Harvest. One of my favorite games on the east coast of the USA and worth a trip out of the city the next time youโre in New York. Watching 13th Hour continue to level up and find a polish and balance to their games over the last few years makes me beyond excited to see what they do next.

Stylistically similar to 13th hourโs other rooms. Lots of content/puzzles; pretty difficult. Fun actor interactions!
