Wow - massive interactions, tons of puzzles, and great innovations on 13th Hour’s style

This was the crown jewel of 13th Hours incredible sets - I audibly gasped at one reveal.

Our hosts were great!

Massive sets, unusual interactions, and world class reveals

A good blend of horror tropes with more general Halloween theming.

There’s a lot to solve, and you need excellent communication in moments

Very few locks

4 would be ideal for communication

No jump scares, but some gore

Some crawling for at least one player

Very fun. Liked the theme. There were A LOT of things to solve and a lot of running back and forth between rooms but in the best way.

Great atmosphere. The set was amazing, super wrll done. Love this place.

Game master was great. We got clues when we needed them. The live actor was funny and nice.

Nothing broken.

There is a good mix of puzzle types in the room, not all of them are puzzle types that I enjoy, but that's why we play as a team. There were a couple puzzles that felt like time sinks, but generally speaking they all had satisfying endings and we escaped with plenty of time left, so whatever time sink they may have been was clearly within reasonable limits.

Very few places do sets and atmosphere as well as 13th Hour

The owner is always great every time we get to chat with him. You can tell he loves creating these experiences for people. The GMs were good, but not great. That said, it was a late game that was running slightly behind schedule - which actually caused our start time to be delayed - and I'm sure they were ready to go home, which is understandable.

If I could give this a thumbs sideways I would. The story was the weakest aspect of the room. That said, there is a story that ties all together at the end. We do wonder how this impacts the overarching story at 13th Hour...

We have played 300+ rooms and despite being down a player, we had ~21 minutes left. It was difficult enough to be enjoyable without being discouraging.

If there was one thing I would improve in this room, it would be the implementation of the live actor.

I say somewhat mostly due to the size of the room, but there are also a couple other minor aspects that require some physical activity.

The vast majority of the room is physically accessible.

Large, open parking lot.

This game is definitely more scattered and sometimes it’s hard to find where to pick up after solving things

Set design and special effects are all amazing as always

Ok…average employee experience.

I’ve never heard of a theme like this!

A lot of 3-4 step puzzles that required teamwork and checking over answers/sequences. This would be super difficult for a group of inexperienced escape room players.

That was my least favorite part of the story. Kind of irrelevant component. And the employee wasn’t into it.

From the standpoint of someone without impairment issues, I’d say it looked decently accessible to me minus one part where you had 2 stairs.

GM stated they were short staffed and were both running several rooms. Intro GM asked if we wanted the rules, and robbed us of the intro story (which we never got anyways)

There was never a story, the game had no story line outside of preparing for the harvest…

Lots of layered puzzles, but had no guidance which made some things frustrating

A few puzzles were glitching and then our screen froze.

This was not a live actor. You engage with your GM maybe twice? And it adds nothing to the game

It’s one level, but the font on the hint screen was very small!

Great puzzles. Super innovative and fun. Did require some visual cueing for completions., though.
