The year was 1984. Allan and Ann Garrett and their son, Matthew, disappeared without a trace. Now, nearly four decades later, the family is still missing and the case has gone cold. We really enjoyed this room, felt very immersed! We completed with just two people and felt adequately challenged without feeling stuck too much! Harper our GM made our experience even better! She was so kind and bubbly; definitely elevated the experience. We would love to come back and play more of these rooms, it’s a bummer we are OC based!

This was a fun room! It had way more packed into it than we expected. There were a few times we thought it was over, but it kept going!

This is more of an experience than an escape room. The rooms are phenomenal, in terms of props and set. However I was quite let down by the lack of puzzles. There are very few per room and occur in a very linear fashion. Definitely don’t bring more than 4 people. Props and other set elements sometimes had to be used, but more often than not, they were just distractions. The ratio of distractions to puzzles was unfortunately high. Definitely worth going for the experience but was disappointed by the puzzles (some just tell you the answer outright)
Honestly was kind of let down by the gameplay here… it was very linear and there was also very little to do in each room. Some puzzles were fun, but others weren’t puzzles at all (like one just told you the code to put in). There were also many themed decorations with dials, switches, etc. some of which had to be used for puzzles, but while the rest were fun, they were just distracting
Fantastic atmosphere, set, and props. Although at times the props really distracted from puzzles. More of an experience/adventure than an actual escape room

Did this with 2 people total! The set design and production value was immaculate. This is probably the best set design we’ve done. I definitely think it’s possible to do as a beginner with a small group. The puzzles were not too challenging, and the room isn’t scary! I thought everything fit very well with the theme and storyline. Left feeling satisfied with the linear puzzles. Nothing didn’t make sense.

This was by far my top favourite escape room!!! I loved that once the puzzle(s) are solved in a room and the door to the next room opens, you no longer have to go back to the previous room! The puzzles were straight forward and well designed, super cool atmosphere, great story. Overall super happy, and we finished it just fine with 2 people.

Whatever Happened To The Garretts was such a delight! This room had: - An easy to follow story that was reinforced through the gameplay - A polished set that was a faithful representation of the story being told - A clean, linear puzzle flow that still offered layered solves. I played as a duo, which I thought was the perfect amount given the linear nature of the room.

Overall a great escape room. I can see why it’s won so many awards, they’re very deserved for such a fun experience.
Gameplay flowed from room to room without the need to backtrack, which is always a plus.
The sets were amazingly well done. I really feel like I stepped into an ‘80s house with the decor and props.

This is a great 2 player game, even 3 might be too many. There are a couple puzzles that could be somewhat better played with 1 more person, but at times I could see it being too crowded.

One of the best detailed set designs I’ve ever seen!!! Story was so captivating, at times I wasn’t sure if this wasn’t a real story!! Very linear gameplay, so be mindful of group size.
Very linear, but good flow once it started to get rolling.

2 escape rooms
This was a wonderful experience. Very much enjoyed the puzzles and the theming, especially as the game went on. We did it with 2 people and it was achievable… more people might have made it tougher, not easier as it was a pretty linear room and didn’t have a lot of elements happening at the same time. The staff was wonderful, and set up the experience very well. There were a few technical issues here and there, but would definitely be interested in experiencing their other rooms!
