You and your friends enter the dark tomb, with only a torch and a flickering flashlight to guide you. You have one hour to solve the fortune tellers clues and return home before all is lost. Ancient hieroglyphics cover the walls; could they be a clue? Your team finds a strange box, but it does not easily open. I enjoyed this room more than similarly themed rooms because they incorporated some real hieroglyphics, which helped with immersion. I was surprised by how much blue this room received, but suspect it may be due to one puzzle that might be time consuming. If that one puzzle were simplified, I suspect the ratings would improve significantly. Our group of 4 enjoyed all the rooms at Mystique.

Not my fave of the 4. Cool atmosphere, the puzzles in the beginning were a tad frustrating but cool nonetheless

This is a good one to do if you have done maybe about 5 to 6 escape rooms already. It’s very interactive and I would recommend to anyone who probably has played escape rooms on PC. After you have done a few IRL, definitely try this one.
Yes once you get going you build momentum
Design was great and loved the special effects especially when you unlock things
Game master was very helpful when we needed help and professional
I would say a little of both

Pretty fun room and a super cute lobby. Game master Breanna was attentive and kind. Only feedback would be giving light sources to all players (within reason). Very cute theme, can't wait to do the rest :)

Over all this is a solid room with some great theming. A couple of the puzzles required a bit of a logical leap and the big thematic centerpiece could have been executed better.
There are some novel elements we really enjoyed, but some puzzles are a bit clunky. The big set-piece puzzle needed some better instructions; we got the idea right away, but struggled in the execution.
Best bit of the room; every puzzle was themed perfectly typing back to the location
Mystique has always treated us excellently.

There are too many ancient Egypt themed rooms, but this theming stands out. Very unique large puzzle, but it could have used some better instructions.
There was a story, but I'd say this is more thematic than story driven.
Medium
Mechanical
High tech in that it doesn't rely on key and number locks, but you'll physically solve most puzzles.

Might be a bit spooky for kids, there are some plastic bones involved but nothing past The Mummy

There is one bit that will require lots of kneeling and bending.
There is a room covered in sand that would be problematic for folks with mobility concerns.

There seemed to be a smaller quantity of puzzles than other escape rooms but they were more challenging. For those with limited stability on their feet, the sand on the floor can be slippery and dangerous. It was still a fun experience, and our party was able to escape with about 5 minutes remaining and 3 clues used. Would recommend.
It was dark but there were lanterns to assist, adding to the theme of the story. There seemed to be less puzzles than other escape rooms, but they were more challenging. For those with limited stability on their feet, the sand on the floor can be slippery, so be careful when walking around.
Good set design; neat swiveling feature with one of the props.
Great staff. Friendly, helpful, and engaged in the story.
All of the games made sense of the overall theme.

Played right after Wizards Tower. Both are scavengers hunty and it was frustrating. I almost fell, slipping on sand, torquing my knee. Some tech was finicky.

Hated this room. It was too dark to even find most of the puzzles let alone solve them. GM was not helpful at all and wasn’t always paying attention.
Some of the puzzles had faulty logic or didn’t make sense
First room is so dark you can’t see yet you are expected to solve puzzles on the walls. The floor is also covered with sand you need to sweep aside to see markings on the floor but again it’s too dark

As far as the look of the room the escape room looked great. However, when it came to game play there wasn’t enough light and some of the things were a bit complex to figure out.
