The Outsider

IS THE SPACE POPE REPTILIAN?? Trapt’s newest offering! Hooray! I was actually asked to come in and play a very early beta version of The Outsider by management so it’s hard to give a concrete review as I know there are still many changes and tweaks to be made. But overall I can say the bones of this one are solid! An intriguing (bordering on creepy) premise that creates a sense of mystery that I wish more escape rooms would incorporate. It’s clear from the get go that something’s not right here, stepping into the home (definitely not lair) of your bizarre next door neighbour is a really fun idea that I understand is still being fleshed out and played with. The content varied in difficulty, there were some real gimmes out the gate but a bit of a hectic difficulty spike to conclude. Between all the fun props to play around with and the unsettling set design, this one has the makings to be one of Trapt’s most unique rooms. Very cool and very excited to see the finished product.
