319 escape rooms
For a location that actually trains firefighters, this was such a unique escape room experience! It’s not often that firefighting facilities use their expertise to give the public a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes. Before you begin, everyone gets assigned a different role, which was a fun way to get the group involved in the story from the start. You also watch a how-to video explaining what you should and should not do in the room and let me tell you, the video was hilarious! I was not expecting them to be as funny as they were and the intro injected personality and made the experience memorable for me. Once you get inside, the game takes place primarily in one room. Because of that, I think the sweet spot would be around 4-5 players. Any more than that and I could see the space getting a little cramped or having people run out of things to work on. The story itself is semi-linear, which I saw mentioned in other reviews and I agree with. There are opportunities for people to work on different things, but certain discoveries need to be made before the story can really move forward. There was also one VERY small detail that we somehow got by accident but other groups may need help with. Overall, I would recommend this room, especially if you’re interested in fire science, investigations, or just want to try an escape room that feels different from the usual themes. Come for the story, stay for the hilarious training video, and leave with a little more appreciation of what our first responders do behind the scenes.
