21 escape rooms
First off the positives: The staff were very nice and the room itself had great atmosphere. One of the best uses of a small space that I've ever seen, in fact. Most of the puzzles were fine, but my biggest reason for the thumbs down is two things: 1) Their is a main seat and a secondary seat. This is not explained, and it's very apparent during the game that one seat has 75% of the action and the other has 25%. I was expecting more of a 50%/50% split in seat importance. There is a mirror above, but the person in the secondary seat is basically going to be craning their neck the whole game, which is not great. 2) There is a dexterity puzzle that has very specific controls which is not explained to you. In addition, it is only accessible by the main seat, so if that person has short arms, it's very difficult to do, not to mention even if they know how to use it, they have to be able to physically do it from a seated position. Our GM had to come in and show us the controls, but even after that, my partner couldn't do it due to reach issues. I eventually had to get up off the seat myself (breaking the theme of the game) to get us past the puzzle. The other negative is that the hint system is kind of slow to respond, as I believe the GMs are watching multiple games at this location. Overall, I really do applaud them for the concept and use of the space, but I think those 2 major execution flaws make me not be able to recommend the game.
