Realistic set design, if you ever want to know what the inside of a typical jail looks like, it’s pretty spot on.

You have 60 minutes to escape from prison, or it’s your life. No pressure. You and your group of friends have been sentenced to life without possibility of parole. You are rotting in a maximum security prison. The catch? You didn't do it. While waiting for someone to help you, you plead for your life in court, but your appeals have been denied again and again. Your entire group was set up, and the only proof that will set you free, is outside of the walls of the prison. Since the criminal justice system is broken, the only thing you can do now is rely on those inside to help you escape. It seems everyone in the prison - the cook, the janitor, all of the trustees - all believe you, and will work together to make sure you don't rot in prison for the crime you didn't commit. But will their help be enough?

I was wondering about the contradiction of positive and negative reviews for this room. After doing this, I'm closer to the negative side and relate to most of the negative descriptions of this room. First off, time starts when the GM opens the door. You still have to put your stuff away into lockers and be given all the rules. And if you have questions, that's going to burn time too. So you're already definitely down at least a few minutes before you can even start. The split start was promising and cool. Things kinda fell apart after that. The "puzzles" didn't feel like puzzles but more like a scavenger hunt. They didn't really flow or make as much logical sense as you would like. We ended up having to ask for 5 hints because we knew we were falling behind and kept hitting walls, which hasn't happened to us before. We finished with 4 minutes left but it wasn't satisfying. This is all especially a disappointment because the prison break theme has a lot of potential. And the set design and props and tropes they included really helped the immersion. But the puzzles and flow just ruined it. Our GM was great though! Not a recommend from us though. We've had so many more fun and satisfying experiences already that this just didn't hit.

Had so many fun moments in this escape room. Alittle hard to talk to the other cell in the beginning. Definitely do with a group of friends! :)

The prison break theme had a lot of potential, and the set design was decent enough to get us into character. Unfortunately, the experience was interrupted (a lot) by a very over-eager game master who kept chiming in with clues — unprompted. It’s one thing to offer help when asked, but it’s another to have a voice from above constantly guiding your every move. It really took away the challenge and immersion. The puzzles themselves were just okay — nothing particularly memorable or innovative. Given the high price, I expected more in terms of quality and autonomy. If you’re planning to try this room, I’d recommend asking the game master not to give any clues unless requested. Or better yet… maybe choose a different room altogether.

We really loved the GM for this room! The way the room starts is cool, but we didn’t love the puzzles too much. There weren’t really that many puzzles tbh. There weren’t that many puzzles. We liked Escobar The Betrayal much more. I would say skip this one.

Fun! There were some red herrings but not enough to make you confused, and the way to communicate between cells in the beginning was very clever. Loved the costumes!

Breakout of your comfort zone, because this place is meant for you to go outside of the norm when it comes to escape rooms. Take into account your surroundings and consider if you should do something, maybe you should. Had a great time racking my brain to not follow the usual patterns, and once I got out of that train of thought, I wanted more. I think this is great precursor to another room. Would love to see a sequel of this.

Excellent use of the environment to bridge the gap between normal number searches and actually utilizing props that make sense to the storyline and setting in order to play. It didn’t feel like a normal escape room concept with an unattached storyline but, rather, I felt as if every single part of the game had its place and it created an even more enriching immersive experience for me. And, not to mention, they donate part of the ticket sales to project innocence. Which I think deserves its own kudos.
