The Other Door

You are Mina, a 12-year-old struggling to adjust to life in a new town. While exploring your strange new house, you find a hidden door in the attic. Stepping through, you enter a world where everything is perfect. Your parents are loving, the house is warm, and new friends welcome you. At the center of it all is the shadow mother, a kind yet eerie woman who promises you can stay forever if you leave your shadow behind. But as you explore, you realize the other children have no shadows and no way to leave. The shadow mother’s own shadow slithers across the walls, always watching, always waiting. Then you notice the sky turning orange. A whisper curls around you: when the sun sets in 60 minutes, your shadow will be mine, and so will you. The door is locked, your shadow is fading. If you don’t escape before nightfall, you will be trapped in her world forever.
