Down a nondescript corridor, past the old library and beyond the general store, you will find Madam Zita’s curiosities – a burial ground for her collection of wicked artifacts that time has long but forgotten. However, this seemingly ordinary bazaar holds a dark secret, one buried and covered up only to be discovered by the most cunning of individuals. Whispers of evil, maniacal treachery and occult idols await. Step back in time to the roaring 80s where you will discover the secret behind the Curse of Madam Zita’s Curiosities.

We had been told to go here by multiple other escape room GM’s and heard really good things. The best part is there is a sound effect that lets you know that you were successful in a clue so you know a drawer had opened. We’ve been in escape rooms before where we didn’t notice we got it right.

Gameplay

There weren’t really any clues that we felt were random. Which shows a good room

Customer service

Very nice GM who also showed us what was left so we knew how close we were

Story
Difficulty

Hard

We have a fairly high success rate. We weren’t successful in this but it was due to some simple mistakes. It was hard, but not in an unnecessary way. It was truly just challenging.

There are some points where more than 2 meant if we all focused on the same puzzle it would have been too many cooks in the kitchen. But many times we could work on 2 puzzles at a time to keep us all busy

Good theming, creative combination of puzzles, but left our 4 person party without enough to do at times. Likely best for 2-3 players.

Gameplay

Several novel puzzles which were well executed

Great room with a very good mix of puzzles. Most puzzles were mechanical which I loved. The theming was amazing (though second room not so much). There was a good amount of space for larger groups too.

This room was great. Not just locks and keys. Lots of physical technical puzzles. Finished the room in just over an hour with 2 people. Staff was great. Definitely going to try more rooms from Find & Seek.

Exceeded expectations. I do a LOT of escape rooms and this one was a real challenge. So much detail, and such clever puzzles. We were told after, this is their hardest room for a group of 2. I’d recommend 3 or 4 people so you don’t run low on time.

Really enjoyable room- tactile puzzles rather than a bunch of combination locks. We did this with three people and were fine

I rate this room a 4/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). The set design and theme I gave 1 pt. But my favorite thing about all the rooms at this establishment is definitely the puzzles. In this room, they get 1.5 pts. The puzzles are varied between tactile and logic types. This gives a great overall puzzle experience. There was a seemingly unnecessarily long time-sucker puzzle (ya know, the type of puzzle where you figure it out right away but it takes an unreasonable amount of time to complete) which takes away from the experience a bit. I would still give my enjoyment 1.5 pts. I really like how they incorporate a distinct sound when you complete a puzzle and when they drop a hint. It's also bright enough to see (for these middle-aged eyes) and note-taking devices are readily available. My only complaint would be the polaroid. If they would just have the pic available online to more easily share!
