Corruption has been brewing amongst the Jail’s authorities. For years it has been suspected that staff have been trafficking stolen goods through the Jail – as a team of Private Inspectors it’s up to you to expose them! Locked in the Governor’s Office, your team will have one hour to find clues, codes and complete unique puzzles, exploring for evidence of exploitation. You’ll have to think quick, smart and work as a team to make it out on time… or risk being framed as a co-conspirator! . Does your team have what it takes to expose the evil deeds and escape? Or will you be framed and sentenced to life imprisonment? Only time will tell whether or not you can escape a prisoner’s fate…

This game seems like it means well and is trying to be good but it’s a wee bit tacked on to the Old Town Jail. I’m sure for people visiting the jail and the escape room as a package or those who book it spur of the moment while at the jail, who are not so escape room experienced, it’s a nice time. However, for us, we managed to complete it in around 30 minutes (annoyingly I don’t seem to have made a note of our time, but the GM said it was the best time she’d seen). We also managed to skip over two or three puzzles (which we were allowed to play through after got to the end of the game) because it seemed logical to us to link some elements together through details in the room that were obviously linked, but apparently we got there too early and should have taken a roundabout way there via some other puzzles! Not a difficult game by any means, but interesting to play if you’re visiting the jail.

This is an okay one room game. Since we played there has been an upgrade on some puzzles so it will have changed a little. The puzzle flow was often confusing with where to go next and we found ourselves having to look for nudges on where to go next. Because it’s a historical site we were a bit aware of being careful touching things. On the same note, there can be no camera installed in the room so the GM is inside the room, however, as they are also tour guides, are dressed the part. For newbies or smaller teams it’s a fun game if also visiting the jail but enthusiasts may get frustrated by an experience more than a challenging room.
