The Prison

Pretty standard prison breakout experience. A couple minor surprises, but didn't seem quite as fun as some of the other Fox in a Box games. I'm a bit surprised that it's a TERPECA nominee.

I was disappointed with this one. There were puzzles that were good and others that literally weren’t even used at all (leftovers from changing things). We wasted time on these puzzles and barely escaped.

Pretty standard prison break room. A unique puzzle or two. Fun game but didn't rank as terpeca level for us.

First of all, our game master Marina was unbelievably awesome. But they were the best thing about this room. It's a bit of a padlock fest and there's nothing all that challenging or exciting about it except the very beginning. For people new to escape rooms, I'm sure it's great. But if your standards are high, you may find this one disappointing.

Did the Prison during our visit to Chicago. The 4 of us had a great time escaping and Jo was an excellent GM. Very enthusiastic and welcoming. Puzzles were fun and intuitive. Really have to communicate well to get out of this one. But that made it even more exciting. A good hint system where you can choose to use it or not but also for well with the theme. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something to do with friends or family while in the city.

There’s some much appreciated theatrics when you first start the game which was fun but the room itself wasn’t really anything spectacular. There weren’t any unique puzzles or designs that stood out to me. The overall experience itself though is great especially the interaction with the staff. Our GM remembered all our code names and gave us little goodie bags to take home and everyone else we ran into were really friendly and enthusiastic.

Definitely the best prison break room I’ve played. We had a fun challenge breaking out of our rooms and were happily surprised throughout the rest of the escape by the challenges with which we were faced. Only needed one hint!

This is a fun, traditional escape rom which requires a lot of finding things. If you aren’t good at finding things- you’re gonna need a lot of hints For a prison break room, it’s not that unique, but it’s still fun. The puzzles are relatively simple and the room isn’t themed too much, but still a good time

This is one of the most immersive escape rooms I’ve ever experienced. This room really makes use of cooperation between players in fun ways! Towards the end, the puzzles were a little hard to figure out for our small group, but this is one of those rooms where it’s totally worth it for the experience alone!
