The set design was amazing! The atmosphere and props were really intricate and immersive. 10/10 on that front. One thing I don’t like is when the timer is indicated by a noise every x # of minutes, which was the case with this room. I just like to see my timer and how much time I have left. I also felt some of the puzzles were not good; they lent easily to going down rabbit holes on a puzzle mechanic, making the payoff less satisfying. More puzzles with more straightforward solves would improve the room. All in all, great spooky atmosphere, but frustratingly difficult puzzles. Rip.

One of the harder rooms I’ve done but so much fun! Big rooms with an interesting layout

I played this room by myself: it’s 100% linear, so playing with more than 2-3 people is probably not advisable unless you are okay watching. The set was well done and the background audio is quite immersive. The puzzles are a mixed bag: there is logic behind them, but sometimes it is a bit inscrutable. Don’t be precious about it: just take hints if you’re stuck. Besides, the way you get the hints is really cool. I would actually have liked a bit more story: the final step you take to finish the room is quite obvious and you will definitely do the right thing, but I didn’t really understand why doing that specific thing was what saved the day. In any case, I had a good time.

I had high hopes for this venue. The set design was really good. But the story and the gameplay was atrocious. I have done 150+ rooms and I thought Rikers and this room would have been in my top 50 for sure. The puzzles were highly illogical in most cases and we constantly had to get a nudge because of this. I’m not even sure there was a proper story to understand and the ending was so weak we didn’t even realize it was over.

Absolutely recommend. I did this room four years ago, and I still think about it.
Lots of cool puzzles in this room. Flowed well. Super creepy start to the game as we didn’t even see our Game Master and followed bloody handprints upstairs.
Dark and creepy. Receiving clues via the tv also added to the spooky vibes. Only comment is sometimes it was so dark it was hard to see puzzles. Or colored lights made it hard to see other colors.
Excellent. Although we didn’t escape (so close), the Game Master kindly walked us through the rest of the game.

I did rikers first and really enjoyed it, I definitely didn’t enjoy this room like I enjoyed rikers. The room is very well designed and super immersive but it just wasn’t… fun? The puzzles weren’t that great and seemed pointless at times. Overall the room was okay in a spooky sense. But outside of that it wasn’t much to write home to. If you’re stuck between this room and rikers go with rikers. It also has the spooky aspect to it
Some of the clues seems unrelated to the room. There’s no “aha” moment. Like without a direct clue there would no way of moving past a puzzle.
Incredible set design, really immerses you into the room

Rikers is still one of my very favorite escape rooms ever, so I was very excited to try this one! What makes this company particular interesting is that their designers also worked on Sleep No More, and it shows. You are immediately immersed in the experience as soon as you step out of the elevator. I really don’t want to say more except that I loved every aspect of it. FYI no jump scares or anything, though it feels tense and unsettling…in the best way! There is some evident wear and tear here, but nothing to truly detract from enjoyment. I did enjoy this one less than Rikers overall, but the haunted hotel is still an awesome one

“I would have expected no less, since the room was built by the renowned designers of Sleep No More.“
“It was a challenging puzzle game. We enjoyed the set and atmosphere. It was spooky, but not scary.“
