The Evil Morgan LeFey has trapped you in her dungeon and placed a curse on Excalibur securing the sword into the stone. You need to escape the dungeon and find the sword. Break the curse and make the sword rise from the stone to become Camelot's new ruler. Remember only the chosen one will be able to make the sword rise from the stone.

This was such a detailed and well constructed room. All of the rooms at Escape May are built by the family that runs the business and that level of authenticity shines through. I cannot say enough great things about how pleasant our game guide was and how creative this room is. I would return to Cape May to play another one of their games.

11 escape rooms
This room was definitely an interesting experience. The story was easy to follow and the set design was very nice despite how small the location itself is. The puzzles definitely had to make you think but were not overly complicated. If there were any negatives I could give, only two come to mind. The first is that visibility in the room is not the best due to the aesthetic being presented, as you only really have candles to easily see around the room. The second is that some of the mechanisms take a while to activate and give you what you need to progress, which can really eat into your time. Overall though, this was another hit from Escape May and I cannot wait to come back and do another room.

While the room was not ground breaking, it was still well put together and very enjoyable. It still managed to do a lot of interesting things despite the limited space it occupied.

The venue has elevator access, however the darkness of the room and some of the containers requires bending over to access. Those with impaired vision might have a difficult time seeing the puzzles.

Absolutely love this game. It was visually amazing. There was one puzzle that wasn’t reset correctly, but they gave us some time back to make up for it. Highly recommend.

Escape May Overall: I have been going to Wildwood Crest / Cape May just about every year since I was a kid, so it thrills me that there is a really high quality escape room company in my favorite place on the Jersey Shore! This is truly a family operated business with the help of very close friends, and they are all incredibly warm and inventive and enthusiastic. Their rooms are very high quality, challenging, affordable, and inviting. I was not expecting as great an escape room experience as I was at Escape May This Room: I actually haven’t done many medieval themed escape rooms, so this was a treat! Of the escape rooms I did at Escape May, this was my favorite. The decor is very immersive and the puzzles inventive. I felt very fairly challenged and my group of three (which included one newcomer to escapes) felt it well constructed for dividing and conquering. I highly recommend this room
