Great escape rooms in a cool building (this building was previously an old veterinary clinic). We did The Distillery while on vacation in Edinburgh and had a blast. Out game master was so kind, welcoming, and attentive during our game. He didn't over nudge us and let us have time to figure out the puzzles. The room was well decorated, and it had many different types of interesting puzzles. It was a locks on locks on locks kind of room, but it made sense given the theming. Really enjoyed. Will definitely do another one here the next time we are in Edinburgh!

Played as a 2 in The Distillery, I wasn't expecting much as this is one of Locked In's rooms you don't hear much about compared to the favourites. Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. We did it pretty much together although some parts were able to be done singly if you had more people. We found the puzzles to be fun and 1 in particular was definitely exciting! We made it out with 2 minutes to go. Tom was friendly and a great GM who set the scene well and only gave us one clue but only when we needed it!
Thank you Tom!

Booked on a whim when at the fringe festival and it was 100% worth it! Puzzles were interesting and despite being an easier room, some still managed to stump us! Game flowed really well and our host was lovely 😊

The Distillery is not the most difficult game at Locked In Edinburgh but is a solid game for beginners and experienced players alike.
Gameplay flows well, 2-4 players is probably a good group size for this room.
Locked In Edinburgh has the advantage of being in a very cool old building, Summerhall, so the room structures have a lot of design elements already there. They also have a gin distillery at Summerhall so the game has the benefit of real knowledge, (disclaimer: players don’t need to know anything about gin prior to playing.)

“The climax of the game is excellent...a solid room that’s lifted by...the authenticity of the props.“
