By the end of the night, you found yourself at a total loss on every hand dealt. But as fortune favors the bold, you decided to brave the odds and go all in. You wait, the cards are dealt, your fate already sealed. With a deep breath, you pull your hand in. And this time, Lady Luck was on your side, or so you thought... "See, in my world.." The Bookie reveals, "the world of high-stakes poker -- we play for cold, hard cash. It's all business." He mentions while funneling away your winnings. "Nothing personal, kid." And with that? His goons throw you out. Leaving you stranded, and with no other choice: REVENGE! Now, with the assistance of the troublemaker that got you into this mess, you've got to infiltrate the gamblers' hideout, break into the vault, and take back your winnings. CAN YOU BEAT THE ODDS, OR WILL BOOKIE FINISH YOU OFF?

This was the first hidden-casino theme game I ever played and we had a lot of fun. We had a rocky start towards solving how to get into the game and then one player had a "lightbulb" moment and figured it out and we were then off to the races as they say. We won in what was a record at the time which was a really nice feeling to make a "leaderboard" somewhere.

This game moved to Clue carre, but we played at rise. Of all the rooms at rise, this was the lowest tech room. Lots of box and locks, with some limited tech sprinkled in along the way. The game master actually pushed a button when they saw you solve a puzzle rather than things happening automatically, which would lead to sometimes not realizing you solved something, but that experience was rare. Good design, good story, and I imagine clue carre has solved the little things in execution that it lacked in its original form.
