Christmas At Franklin's

The room started off a little slow, but got a little more fun later on. Mostly linear room, alot of word/reading puzzles. some were clever, but a handful werent very interesting. set design was seemed low budget, but cute at some points. customer service was a bit to be desired. they are located in an office space with minimal signage. worst lobby ive seen in an ecape room so far it was just an small empty room with very little seating and randomed lying around (looks like they just sue it for storage). Once we got into the "lobby". there was an employee helping another group for at least 5 minutes. (presumably getting their payments in order). didnt bother to acknowledge us at any point. then proceeded to walk past us to get them on their room. At with point I spoke up saying we're here for the Franklin room. without so much as a "sorry for the wait" he just casually said ok someone will be here soon. then walked out with the group without another word, turns off the light behind us and we were left in a dark room for another 10 minutes. Our GM (another person) finally came in. well past our start time. again no apology for the delay or wait. then without much of a setup, just took us to our room. durring the room, the GM forgot to reset 2 TV screens (one was supposed to be a fireplace on loop and the other was supposed to be outside of a window) but the fireplace was stuck on pause witht he pause cursor on it the whole time, and the window tv was on a netflix streaming screensaver. and after the room the GM went out her way to metion and point out the QR code where we can tip her. For the record, Im all for giving a tip to a GM if they went above and beyond at their job. but this is one of the worst customer service weve had AND the only time someone has verbally said "you can tip me here". usually theres a QR code out and tipping is visually implied, but something about just blatantly asking for a clearly undeserved tip, rubbed me the wrong way. I usually dont say much about the quality of customer service, but this just stood out. I would have rated the room itself a little better, if not for the customer service. so if you made it this far in the review, take that for what it is.

I wish there was a button between a “thumbs up” and a “thumbs down” because that’s where this room would fall. It’s definitely well loved Gen 1 room. It had some cute/interesting puzzles but overall it was just “ok” 🤷🏻‍♀️ personally, I think it was overpriced for the experience we got. :/

Interesting year round Christmas room. Has a couple of puzzles that I thought were actually very unique in their execution. Overall puzzles were a decent challenge without being obscure or difficult to understand. Puzzles were fairly linearly done, often a few branches would come together to solve one item. Decorations were well done, and quite a few well used for puzzles.

I don’t want to give it a thumbs down because I feel like it’s a Gen 1 living in a Gen 3 world. But it’s pretty rough around the edges. Would be good for kids. Wouldn’t recommend it for an all adult group unless you’re crazy for Christmas and have a lot standards for production value. Cost was too high for what you get.

Great escape room!! Fun theme for the Holiday season. Was able to complete it with my fam - wife And 5 yr old daughter 😂 her first escape room ever and she escaped!! The game masters Nikki and Logan were awesome toward her.

The theming was really cute in the room. It was fun and had some unique puzzles.

Lots of clues given when not asked for. The room is so worn and underwhelming and puzzles were not special— this not worth the $42pp

Some really interesting moments and fun puzzles. Set dressing needs a lot of love. Moderate amount of text heavy puzzles, which isn't for me personally. More puzzles than I expected, overall a fun time. GM was great and owner is really nice.

Not a bad room especially if you like to get festive during winter time! Only critique I have is the set dressing could be updated to match the level of immersion provided by their Overgrown room.

It was a really fun room with great puzzles. The set dressing could be better but overall we had a ton of fun. It’s actually kind of a hard room (we didn’t expect that). Some really clever puzzles!
