Step into your own black and white, film noir adventure! You are a private investigator in 1950's New York. One day you receive a letter from Betty McGee - a singer at the notorious Marlowe Hotel. She informs you that the gangster kingpin and hotel owner, Eddie Marlowe, is trying to blackmail her with incriminating material. She needs you to break in and retrieve the documents. You know Eddie is bad news, but you agree to take the case. What secrets await you inside the hotel? How will you locate the photos? What do you really know about Eddie Marlowe?

While I have done many detective themed rooms before, this one is the best I have done. The black and white theming was extremely well done and made the room so immersive (definitely dress in black and white as well). The puzzles were challenging as well, although some were quite similar to the puzzles in La Rebellion.

Stunning room designs and good combination of tech and mechanical puzzles. Very clever. One puzzle is disjointed and we struggled to make the connection but otherwise we had a great time!

Overall, we enjoyed the room. The atmosphere was excellent and the quality of the puzzles was good. The room also parallels well across multiple solvers. Our one critique is that we felt the number of puzzles was a little light for our group size/experience. I would have liked more, or wish we had been a smaller group (we had 5, though only two of us were escape room regulars).

Completed with a group of 4. Love the theme and the black and white clothing suggestion to fit the theme. It had a lot of creative and interesting puzzles that are unique to this room. The gameplay was immersive and flowed well. One of the top escape rooms Iβve done, would definitely recommend!

This was fun for our group of fairly experienced escape roomers but for an βexpertβ level this was a bit too basic and straight forward. The ending was rather anticlimactic. Unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed as the highly rated and nominated room I thought would be a bit more challenging. Great host though and love the collectable pins.

One of the, if not the best, escape rooms we've been to. The atmosphere and props were incredible, providing an incredibly rich and immersive experience. The puzzles were fantastic, super creative, varied, and unique. We can't wait to go back and try all the other rooms.
