Shouldβve been a good room, but this just isnβt designed for two players. We have done many rooms, but this one had multiple puzzles that were awkward for two people and the puzzles were just too numerous and time consuming, even for advanced players (with less than three people). This could be easily fixed if they just pulled a couple puzzles for low player count. This room has a lot of potential, but this really ruined the experience for us. Really just shouldnβt allow less than 3 players without some changes. Also, the room is pretty filled with cliches and escape room tropes, and the ending was probably the easiest and least satisfying set of puzzles weβve encountered in an otherwise decent room to date.

This was a phenomenal room! Really cool puzzles that and interesting ways to solve them.
Very nicely themed room! Flowed well, exciting when puzzles were completed and unlocked things.

We had an issue in the room that impacted our experience. We were trying to solve a puzzle, but wasted a lot of time trying to be too gentle. I think this would've been a good opportunity for the GM to chime in with encouragement that we were on the right track. Since we wasted a lot of time trying to solve in a different way without force, we had to ask for a few hints in the second room. The other thing I didn't enjoy was that you have to go back to the first room to solve in the second room. I prefer to move on and not look back. I think we went in with high expectations, so we were a bit disappointed. There's nothing wrong with the room, but the GM chiming in would've made it much better.

Great game!!! It flowed so well. Every puzzle was understandable and continued to the next thing. Storyline made sense as well. Staff is very sweet.

Saved this one to do with an Arthur Conan Doyle fan and it was worth the wait! The design was top notch and immersive to the era and the story. The puzzles were creative and novel even after 70 of these rooms, so I appreciated the originality! From the very first moment, the game was afoot! I loved that some required teamwork. The last puzzle put a grin on my face. I hope Mindfox does more since I think they focus on a quality game. Will I do their other one next? No mystery there, it's elementary, my dear Watson.
Top notch set design!

We had a blast with this room! We have been to mindfox before for black and white cafe, and we LOVE the puzzles in this room. Well designed, solid puzzles, and a fun story. Thanks to Sophia, our puzzle master!
Excellent!

What a fun room and great company!! My parents and I completed their Black and White Cafe a few months ago, and we were so excited to return for Moriarty's Manor with the rest of our escape room gang! We had a group of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids), and we escaped with 10:26 remaining and used no hints. However, there are a lot of puzzles that can be solved simultaneously, so having the extra minds and hands was helpful. The puzzles were all very fun, and for the most part they were pretty self explanatory once you pieced the clues together, meaning there was nothing too physically challenging. I highly recommend both escape rooms with this company!!
There were several aspects I enjoyed about the gameplay! Firstly I enjoyed how everyone in our group of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids) seemed to have something to do at all times. The story did flow well.
It was definitely immersive, and the set was well made. Everything was in good condition as well.
The GMs at this location have been so kind to us. It was also my mom and cousin's birthdays, so once we escaped, the GMs brought out two slices of cake for them. Super sweet of them!
Yes
Even though some of the puzzles were familiar or similar to others I've solved, they were still super fun and fit with the story well
I think the plot was fun, and some of the elements were very in-theme
Hard
There was a lot to get done. I'm glad we had our full group of 7 for this room. However, we did escape with 10:26 left and we didn't need any hints!
Mechanical
There were mostly locks and keys, but there were some high tech elements as well

I certainly recommend more than 2 players. With 7 players it was a bit crowded during some sections, but for the most part we all had enough space

The game themes and puzzles were child friendly and most were easy to reach.

I really enjoyed this room! The props were beautiful and the puzzles were unique. This was my 23rd escape room (18W, 5L) and I played with a group of 7 with similar statistics. We ranged in age from tweens to 50s. All of the puzzles were in tip-top condition and fit well with the theme. While we didn't need any hints from the GM, we did need different brains looking at ways to approach each puzzle. MindFox really knows how to make a great escape room (we lovvve B&W Cafe too!).
This was a great game! We really enjoyed that the room was mostly non-linear and split between being mechanical & high tech. The story unfolded well and with so many puzzles, everyone in our group had the opportunity to contribute.
The room was decorated beautifully and all of the puzzles were in tip-top condition. The puzzles were novel for me (23 games played).
Our GM was very nice and she presented my nephew & me with birthday cake after our successful escape.
Yes
This was our first Sherlock Holmes themed escape room. Many of the puzzles were novel for me.
Everything in the room was in theme with the story.
Hard
This was my 23rd room (18W, 5L) and I played with a group of 7 with similar statistics. We ranged in age from tweens to 50s. I don't think we would have been successful with fewer players (we had 10:26 remaining). So I consider this a hard room.
Mechanical
I think the puzzles were split between mechanical and high tech, but leaning slightly more towards mechanical.
7
I played with a group of 7 (23 game experience) and this was a good number for us. With our experience, I don't think we would have been successful with fewer players without hints.
