I absolutely adored this escape room. Moss was just my favorite ❤️ a beautiful story. Wonderful immersion. A boat trip I have never seen before. The costumes blew us away- think universal quality. So cute. Puzzles were well themed. As a team of two we split up but also did things together! I dare say I may have liked it a little more than Magnifico.

So magical and fun. I think if you are a person who enjoys fantasy themed rooms this is for you. The whimsy and magic of this game are not to be underestimated. Some great surprises and moving moments in the story too. It’s not my favourite style of game but I can’t help but appreciate it for all of the work that has gone into it. Moss is your hint system throughout and he was such a funny addition to the experience. I felt like the room was broken up by a few too many narrative interruptions but I still had a great time.
The puzzle flow was great. It was nice to have a clear task list of what we needed to do. It was interrupted a fair few times with a lot of narrative which did take time out of the flow a fair bit.
This isn’t an aesthetic that I enjoy as much but I can’t deny how much effort had been put into it. Such a beautiful set design!
Lucas was our host and he was hilarious and attentive. A great addition to the game!

Great storytelling throughout I just wish there were maybe 2 or 3 less game play interruptions. However it was really well told and it was a really narrative driven game.

The volume of puzzles was great but I wouldn’t say they were too complex. Great variation in style too!

Lucas play Moss! He was so brilliant and served as a hint system as well as brilliant comic relief. Moss was a genius heart to the game, really well done.

This room had one of the most compelling stories at Escaparium. Only Magnifico beat it for me. The set was INCREDIBLY detailed. They fit so much content into one room. It was non linear so my group was able to split up and tackle different puzzles. The actor we had I thought was PHENOMENAL. He was super funny and helpful at the same time. He really made us fall in love with the characters. The actor interactions here were just really great and they made it very clear what we needed to do. I also LOVED the transition between rooms. Such a showstopping set piece. But there was WAY too much fog. To the point it was causing sensory issues for several of us. This was not a scary room. The description of the theme is really non specific on their website and I do understand the need to keep the secrets of what’s in the wardrobe. But also, I do wish there was more clear reassurance on the website that this was suitable for younger kids instead of going in semi blind.

I did 3 rooms at Escaparium as part of a team of 2 from the UK. The first part of this review is common to all 3 game reviews, the second half is specific to this game. The games at Escaparium are unlike any I've played anywhere else. It's more like being a character in a film or video game. The puzzles feel less like puzzles and more like important part of your adventure. I've taken a while to think about this review before writing it because while I loved it I didnt necessarily feel like I'd done an escape room (because it wasn't just a room with puzzles and a loose narrative around it). But a week later when I think back on the rooms I can't help but smile, for they were all amazing experiences, with incredible sets, fantastic actors/GMs and puzzles that were there but at the same time were just part of the story. So so clever! Wardrobe for Sale was my personal favourite of all the rooms, mainly because the theme and puzzles were perfect for me. The actors/characters were brilliant and a huge shout out to Fred who was our GM - fantastic! There is one aspect in the final room where I banged my head, I fed this back though so hopefully noone else will do the same. Just wish I could go back and do them all again!

The room was magically decorated, and the actor interactions were quite cute. The puzzles in the first area were non-linear, and we were instructed to split up, so I missed half the puzzles. I do understand that there is so much to do that you would need to divide and conquer, but I feel like I missed something. There was an amazing transition, and then the story continued in a more linear fashion. Overall a really good game.

A game that focuses heavily on story telling and involves some great acting which really drives the story forward. During the game we encountered numerous characters and twists and turns . The puzzles are all nonlinear meaning we didn't all get to see and do everything. The one negative is that there is a lot of down time throughout as we wait for the GM to switch characters and customs. The delays were notable and a bit too frequent which disrupted the game flow.

Great theme and tech, very good experience. Puzzles themselves weren't too difficult but a lot of unsolicited hints were provided so can feel a little overly curated at times, but there was a lot to fit in the 2 hr run time. The tech and theming of the puzzles were great, not many can compare.

Cheerful and bright with a genuinely fun story - it took some prodding from the host to keep it centered, but it provided a great payoff. Fun mix of puzzles with some divide and conquer and linear play; could have used better lighting around puzzles

I love the premise and plot of the game . The set is impressive, and at times cheerful, mysterious, and tense. More than most games, Wardrobe for Sale is a character-driven story, with much of the plot unfolding through a character's development arc. There's a lot of fun opportunity to banter with a GM-controlled character in the first half, while the second half is a more dramatic turn. My biggest issue with Wardrobe for Sale is the execution. It's a pipelined game where the first part of the pipeline is extremely parallelizable, but the second part is extremely linear. It's hard to think what sort of group would have a good time in both halves. While the story does carry across them, puzzlewise it feels like two completely different games duct taped together. I like the unusual ideas and big swings the game takes, and think that overall the strengths outweigh the weaknesses, but it's a huge shift.

A small group will struggle in the first half, and a large group will be bored in the second half. Sadly, I don't think there's any ideal group size :(
