Magnifico, it is not. It's still a decent room, but it feels like an earlier version of a build style they perfected later. The best part? Your puppet companion and guide throughout, always at the ready. Notes: One main puzzle room had what appeared to be 10 or so parallel puzzles, but they were actually linear - each one giving a missing piece to the next, which was a bit analysis paralysis and also makes it hard to have everyone help if it's a group. They say the minimum is 4, but we did it with 2 and I don't know what everyone else would be doing. There's a puzzle involving ants I found really kind of random and hard to "solve" conceptually - like it could have meant a lot of things. There's what WOULD be an immersive themed experience between 2 rooms, but the motor that powers it is INCREDIBLY loud whirring and breaks immersion hard. There are prerecorded scenes, so if, say, the French one accidentally plays, it can be very confusing for the players if this is supposed to happen, what are we supposed to do, and the actor has no good way to get out of the scene and fix it until it's done. In the second main puzzle room, there's a lot of devices and I think a couple labels or names would make what one is supposed to do with which part a bit more clear. Nothing a couple puppet hints wouldn't solve, but "hey what if you go back and try that again but slower" doesn't feel as good as the thing you tried magically working. Heck, even the very first puzzle was a bit misleading. What if a secret door had instructions guiding you away from itself? But maybe we're just obtuse on that one. Don't get me wrong - it was a good room and s good experience, but for the ratings accolades and awards it has, especially sharing the same location as Magnifico, it just left us a bit underwhelmed by comparison. The slightly janky precursor. But the puzzles are still creative, heavily themed, mostly sensible and solvable, and a good time. They get you interacting and engaging, and the setting is adorable. Wonderful acting and puppeteering for our show.

Not my favorite Escaparium room — but anything less than a love for Escaparium would be wild. The amount of detail and attention they put into crafting their set and stories is incredible. I wasn’t a particular fan of this room because it was very linear and focused more on the narrative and storytelling than the puzzles. I felt like there was way too much talking and acting, and I only ended up doing about 3 puzzles total in an hour and a half. Most of the time the guide tells you what to do.
Some technical difficulties and very few puzzles.
Insane. Just insane. Definitely an element I hadn’t seen before!
Shoutout to Fred who chatted with us before the room! Loved talking with him.

I absolutely adored this escape room. Moss was just my favorite ❤️ a beautiful story. Wonderful immersion. A boat trip I have never seen before. The costumes blew us away- think universal quality. So cute. Puzzles were well themed. As a team of two we split up but also did things together! I dare say I may have liked it a little more than Magnifico.

So magical and fun. I think if you are a person who enjoys fantasy themed rooms this is for you. The whimsy and magic of this game are not to be underestimated. Some great surprises and moving moments in the story too. It’s not my favourite style of game but I can’t help but appreciate it for all of the work that has gone into it. Moss is your hint system throughout and he was such a funny addition to the experience. I felt like the room was broken up by a few too many narrative interruptions but I still had a great time.
The puzzle flow was great. It was nice to have a clear task list of what we needed to do. It was interrupted a fair few times with a lot of narrative which did take time out of the flow a fair bit.
This isn’t an aesthetic that I enjoy as much but I can’t deny how much effort had been put into it. Such a beautiful set design!
Lucas was our host and he was hilarious and attentive. A great addition to the game!

Great storytelling throughout I just wish there were maybe 2 or 3 less game play interruptions. However it was really well told and it was a really narrative driven game.

The volume of puzzles was great but I wouldn’t say they were too complex. Great variation in style too!

Lucas play Moss! He was so brilliant and served as a hint system as well as brilliant comic relief. Moss was a genius heart to the game, really well done.

This room had one of the most compelling stories at Escaparium. Only Magnifico beat it for me. The set was INCREDIBLY detailed. They fit so much content into one room. It was non linear so my group was able to split up and tackle different puzzles. The actor we had I thought was PHENOMENAL. He was super funny and helpful at the same time. He really made us fall in love with the characters. The actor interactions here were just really great and they made it very clear what we needed to do. I also LOVED the transition between rooms. Such a showstopping set piece. But there was WAY too much fog. To the point it was causing sensory issues for several of us. This was not a scary room. The description of the theme is really non specific on their website and I do understand the need to keep the secrets of what’s in the wardrobe. But also, I do wish there was more clear reassurance on the website that this was suitable for younger kids instead of going in semi blind.
