You have been hired as private investigators to gather evidence against a suspected serial killer. After hearing of several missing persons alerts, it is time for you to step in and finish this hunt for the truth. Investigate Ted Gein's apartment, and bring the criminal to light in order to receive payment for your service. Manage the two on-going investigations and you'll be successful in this horror escape room. As a bonus in this horror escape room experience, you will record footage that you will be able to keep with you after the game! Discover as much as possible about the killer while fighting a clock as you gather evidence. Try to find out not just what he did, but also what he is.. While struggling to find evidence against the killer, you must also bring hard evidence of missing persons in order to get paid for your service. Manage the two on-going investigations and you'll be successful in this horror escape room. You must also be careful. While there's a lookout to ensure that he is away from his apartment, you must leave no traces behind and be as quiet as possible. You don't know who's listening.

We had fun. It's a scary escape room, but not too intense. Without giving away too many details, I wouldn't recommend this for large parties - 4, maybe 5 tops, although I'm guessing they can accommodate the larger groups with a simple alteration on their side. There's a limited number of puzzles, many of which are numerical-lock based.

One of the best scary rooms in OC. Connor and Logan killed it as gamemaster for our group. Darkness apart of it and it worked for us.

There’s padded flooring where you have to crawl which was nice and when you hide it’s relatively small spaces. You don’t really have to run but it’s not a long distance if you do.

The Hide is a fun, mysterious, and interactive adult game of Hide-and-Seek with the elements of a scare actor, intense darkness, bloody props, and suspenseful music. What I liked most about this room was how much was compacted into the physical space, the interactive “hide-and-seek” element with a scare actor, and the ability to video record using the Escape Room Era’s devices. This room is very immersive which accounts for the laughs, fun, and memories that are made in this room. As you are an investigator, this room truly makes you feel like you’re investigating and having to “hide” when you’re interrupted. We truly had a lot of fun in this escape room! It’s more so about what you can’t see vs what you can see. The real fear factor in this escape room is your own mind. Can you escape?
The game play made sense to the story, but there were a few puzzles that we didn’t agree with and there were some slow parts throughout the game play, but overall, still such a fun escape room with the added darkness and scare actor.
With the physical space, they made great use of what they had. They really fit a lot into The Hide through their use of props, set design, architecture and space. My favorite part would have to be the music though because even though you know what the space looks like, it’s the darkness and music that psychologically challenges you with what you can’t see but with your own mind. Lol
The GMs were great! Very theatrical, stayed in character, and engaging with the storytelling and guidance.

My group and I ended our escape room day with this room and sadly, the hype did not live up to our experience. When they say pitch black, this room had no ounce of light in the beginning whatsoever. We were expected to use the red dot from our flashlight to move around and they didn’t give everyone a flashlight so it was hard to navigate. The scares were also not as good because we were just hiding in select areas of the room but our game masters did the best they could with the design they had! The storyline and the puzzles also need some work to make this experience a memorable one. Overall, this was just a miss but we also know that the owners are considering a revamping of this room.

My group and I had a great time. It was a perfectly balanced horror escape room that had a great flow. This was a linear style puzzle flow but the immersion kept everyone engaged. Our game Master (Deepak) was amazing and one of the best that I have ever worked with. Overall, Escape Room Era was a great time and I am looking forward to trying their other rooms.
Linear style puzzles but they had a great flow and kept my group engaged throughout the entire room.
Atmosphere was top notch. The atmosphere is what made the room great. The room theming and sound effect timing was on point.
