The Egyptian Chamber

We’ve done almost all of the rooms at Escape in 60 and this was in my top 2. Super fun room that flowed so well with some challenging puzzles in between. We escaped with 2 people, but it wasn’t easy, so maybe 3+ would’ve been the ideal number. We had the best time tonight and Emi was the best game master ever. We’ve had her several times and we adore her.

It wasn’t my favorite room. The staff member kind of made me feel like I was loud and annoying. The puzzles were difficult when they didn’t need to be (smells! Geometry?!). It was only two of us, so it was hard. Definitely recommend for a larger group. *date is a rough estimate

Nothing but key pads and no way to know or keep track of which have been completed. Generally not fun

We did The Egyptian Chamber and really enjoyed the effects and scenery of the room. It incorporated several aspects and mechanisms that were very unique and I haven't seen in an escape room before. Clearly lots of love was put into this room and I really enjoy many local, independent-business rooms for this reason. My only (minor) suggestions that would have made my review a five star rating: 1) adding a calculator to use as a tool - some people, like myself, truly are THAT bad at math - and 2) adding some ambient noise or music. It was too quiet for comfort. Even just a generic crackling fire soundtrack for the lanterns would help fill the silence. I do appreciate the "clue" sound being Egyptian-sounding to help with immersion. The staff was very friendly - especially our Game Master, Pete, who provided good clues and helped us along the way with extra hints to confirm we were on the right track when we weren't sure. Overall, I enjoyed Escape in 60 and would definitely check out some of their other rooms.
