8-Bit Escape

This room captures the retro and pop culture feel that it has set out to emulate, both through room props and puzzle theming. There were a good number of unique puzzles that we haven't seen before, making the puzzle progression interesting. This room is technically non-linear, so smaller groups may spend extra time combing through the theming props in the room (which almost all are not glued down, so there can be a bit of dull "check everything" searches when the puzzle progression isn't obvious). Also, one of the locks has a reset mechanism that wasn't mentioned by the GM (usually they mention any non-traditional lock mechanics). Otherwise, the room itself was a solid experience of some interesting puzzles, nostalgia-based theming and a few neat surprises.

Such a fun room with some cool & unxpected interactive features not experienced in other venues. Love the thought, imagination, and attention put into their escape rooms. We will be back!

Loved the 80s nostalgia. Lots and lots of accurate details to create an immersive vibe. The number of non-clue decorations is great but adds to the challenge as it's harder to sift through to the important items. The puzzles ranged from straightforward to multi-part and often required noticing little details from multiple parts of the room. Some really fun elements.

Fun and detail packed 80's themed escape room. Engineered to contain a LOT of 80's nostalgia. Came here with my wife for a date night, we escaped with about 5 minutes to spare. That said it was challenging and we did use a couple hints and received a couple nudges when we were struggling - some of our struggling was pizza induced brain fog in not looking at a very obvious place, but a couple details I found hard to get. One puzzle in particular was very novel and well executed. I think the room was very immersive and enjoyable, but there were SO MANY details and small elements in the room that didn't directly related to the solution that it would have been very easy to get bogged down. I had to restrain my desire to try to dive into everything for the sake of finishing. Really great puzzle and well deserving of the awards it has won!

Our final room out of 3 for the night at ERH. Another awesome room with unique elements we haven't seen anywhere else. This felt like the most challenging of the 3 rooms that we did, as a couple of the puzzles really stumped us. (Admittedly we were a little hangry at this point, make sure to pack a snack if you're doing 3 in a row! Lol) The hidden Easter eggs in here were absolutely superb and we had lots of laughs along the way.

LOVED this escape room. They really know how to do escape rooms here as the ones we’ve done have all been amazing!!

Pretty ok room, flow was a little off and chaotic but overall a decent room with good theming

Great room that was very well decorated. If you grew up in the 80's and 90's you'll be taking a trip down memory with the nostalgia packed in this room. Super fun!

From the very moment I stepped into the room, I felt like I was in that era! I didn't know all the cultural references but there were enough that I was grinning with glee as I solved puzzles related to them. This room was just. plain. fun. While many puzzles were lock and key, there was also a particularly innovative puzzle type that wowed me. It was a bit short, but it was well worth it!
