"This is the only place of worship in Lockhill. Even though it is supposed to be a place of peace and quiet, my skin crawls whenever I go near it. Maybe its just the catacombs next to it, or maybe its something else..." - Excerpt from the diary of Professor Nathan Jones

Impressive set and work done, we enjoyed sanatorium more though, maybe it was because of the actors that we did not enjoy as much, great experience still

When you are under constant pressure and stress difficult to solve those puzzles in the dark plus when we made a puzzle it was not obvious for us that we made it correctly

Seriously one of the greatest rooms if not the greatest we have ever done. Best in class at design, immersive use of actors and props. Very fun. If you do only one escape room in Athens, I would strongly consider this one
I wish I could give it more than a heart
Staff was amazing

Hard
The room is long. Individual puzzles are definitely more medium difficulty but because of the volume and the scale the difficulty gets bumped up

We did ask them to not jump out at us. We still got to experience some incredible set pieces. Don't dismiss it because of the horror aspect. This room is an amazing experience

Verticality, scale, and crawling makes this room a very active experience
Not very accessible unfortunately especially for those with mobility issues. Very dark as well. One of the only knocks I can give this room

Chapel & Catacombs is one of my favorite rooms, and I would consider it a must play for anyone visiting Athens. The set is huge and detailed, and they even spend a good amount on areas you barely spend much time in, which really adds to the worldbuilding and sense that you're in another space. I'm not a horror fan and was worried I wouldn't like this game, but the gameplay somehow didn't strike me as scary at all. While there are sections of the game where players are pursued by demons, their movement rules are told to players at the beginning of the game. Demons don't move that fast or appear that unexpectedly, so avoiding them is just a task you'll have to keep juggling. I'm pretty sure their purpose is more to herd players in the right direction than actually trying to catch us. Like a lot of games in Athens, the game is a cold start - as soon as we walked in (actually, even before), we're in universe. Even after we finished, our guide didn't drop character, even though I kind of wished he would so we could discuss a wider variety of topics. We played the game in English with no problems.

I hate scary escape rooms, but this one takes the cake for an immersive, cinematic experience. Instead of feeling like a series of small rooms, the space felt like an authentic layout of a chapel and catacombs in its own world. 5 ppl made for a good size, esp with some scaredy cats and tight spaces.

It was amazing, truly cinematic experience with great storytelling and amazing actors with unique puzzles. The scares in this rooms was something I’ve never experienced. easily one of the best escape rooms I’ve done.

My husband and I found this room a bit underwhelming to be #3 in the world on TERPECA. The reason for the rating must be due to the size and detail of the set. It wasn't the best acting we've encoutered, and the puzzles were quite easy. I appreciated a couple of comedic elements that broke the heavy atmosphere.

This was a life changing experience. The set is HUGE and literally felt like we had been transported to Lockhill. Immersion was next level, the actors and worker were literally in character. If you’re a scaredy cat (like myself), you are going to lose your mind. I had to ask them to get rid of the actors because I was absolutely terrified. I appreciated that that was an option because we still got to experience the greatness of the room. Even without the actors, the general atmosphere was still scary, and I noticed they still included some scary bits but didn’t let us see them, which is very impressive. Highly recommend even if you’re scared, just ask them to dial it down. You have to go!

The atmosphere was unbelievable. Special effects, music, cinematics, acting: ALL TOP LEVEL. They made us the favor not to scary us many times as we don’t like horror so much.

This game is HUGE. Lots to explore and many puzzles to solve. The set design was incredible and they made such good use of the space. From the beginning to end of the room, the game didn't disappoint with the atmosphere, actors, and puzzles. The actors were so good and really brought this game to life.

It's huge, it was really fun, setting of most of the places is really good, some nice cinematic scenes (could be better executed though). But actors (and their costumes) were not really scary and after some time it becomes more grotesque than scary (not sure if it was meant to be like that) and decoration of some of the places is not that immersive and don't feel much real.
