Be careful what you wish for An Englishman's home is his castle. Or his curio if he's a treasure hunter who's spent a lifetime collecting trinkets from all four corners of the globe. Alexander Curio was a true eccentric. A legendary explorer who left no stone unturned in his search for gems and gimcracks. To him, life was a gamble, with fate to be decided on a whim or a flip of a coin. A mysterious loner who loved to raise the stakes until they could be raised no higher. Alexander's life was one big puzzle. Only a select few ever got beyond his front door. You're about to join their exclusive ranks. At first glance, Curio looks like the home of an explorer whose passion for chasing treasures has taken him from the Thames to Timbuktu. But the clue lies in the name. Secrets lie within her seemingly innocent walls and trinkets hold the key to untold riches. Fortune favours the brave but riches come at a price. Who is the man behind the enigma? Was his death the result of some cruel, cosmic irony? And does he really want to share the treasures hidden away within the labyrinth he calls home? This is no ordinary home. Alexander is anything but an ordinary man. Now he's inviting you into his world. But once you enter, there's no going back

This room gets lots of plaudits and praise and it’s worth it. Can’t actually remember the plot, the room is so unique. A must do for any enthusiast.

A very difficult room, with puzzles that for us didn’t seem to flow or make much sense. We are experienced escapers, but this one we just didn’t get. The room itself was unique (I won’t spoil it!), so I’m glad we did it. But it was hard to tell when we had solved a puzzle as there was a lag between us doing something and the desired effect, presumably because we were waiting on the GM pressing a button?? Several times we asked for clues and received radio silence - this must have wasted 5 mins of game time. If I’m honest I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Is highly rated and we can see why, but just didn’t work for us on the day - it happens! Has a really cool feature.

As a team of two, there is a LOT to do in this room but we were on a good roll and the first half of the room we whizzed through. The set is amazing, slightly low lighting in places and not the best of rooms if you have any form of motion sickness. Very cleverly put together room and a must do if you get chance.

One of the best we’ve played. Incredible environment (as is expected with Escapologic), awesome puzzles, and a very clever use of space. Not the easiest of rooms, but a great challenge for those looking to push themselves!

Simply brilliant- one of our favourite rooms ever. You enter the home of a brilliant, but now deceased, explorer & have 60 minutes to discover his secrets. The decor & props in the room integrate really well with the theme, as does the clue system allowing you to remain immersed throughout. Once you discover the secret to this room, you can’t help but keep thinking about where it will take you next- but these is lots more to do in the meantime!

The best escape room I have done so far! Quite difficult though so not great for first timers.
