As other reviewers have already stated, this is not really an escape room. Each section is timed and you automatically advance whether you have completed the puzzles or not. We didn't know this when we did the Jurassic Park room and were disappointed with the experience. Since we went into this room knowing what to expect, we enjoyed the experience a lot more. The theming is fun and nostalgic. If you are a fan of the BTTF movies you will enjoy this room. The puzzles were fun and not super difficult. If you time your arrival for a slow time (like during dinner time), you can enjoy a private game without paying for a private game. We were able to do this for both Universal Escape rooms.

I had read a ton of reviews and first accounts of this place so I put it off for so long. I agree it’s not an escape room. The fact it has escape in the venue title is the only thing close to it. If you go into it with an open mind that this is a walk through nostalgia experience with interactive elements and a few rudimentary puzzles you’ll have a better time. I walked out and said.. meh that was better than I expected. Not great, not entirely good, but there was still a good time to have. My only complaint is the pure expense to fun ratio is out of whack and I would only recommend this to someone in a group of non escape roomers or… when you’ve done every other venue in Orlando but need a fix.

The theme is good due to the budget but as this is an escape experience rather than a game there are not many puzzles. You will be moved from room to room regardless as there will be another teaming coming in behind you - this also means you cannot leave and come back at any time. For the cost these are super expensive and would recommend heading to The Bureau instead!

Listen, it’s not really an escape room. It’s a beautifully decorated room with puzzles in which you will only get a few minutes to complete. If you don’t complete it, the story will push you through anyway. Go in with the mindset that this is not a normal experience and you’ll still enjoy it. Only recommended for fans of Back to the Future, otherwise not recommended.

Not an escape room. They push you through each section and there is little to thinking involved. This is such a waste of a great IP and taints both back to the future and the idea of escape rooms!

It was okay, for experienced players, we didn’t have to get pushed through, the puzzles felt like you were meant to go without break.

I liked the theming quite a bit. I would recommend to most people but especially to first timers and people who like the movie franchise.

I really loved this game. While yes this isn’t the traditional kind of escape room where you move room to room. Each room has its own series of puzzles in which you can solve. If you’re unable to solve them you’re pushed to the next room when you run out of time. Most likely because it’s located in CityWalk and they’re trying to cater to more guests, so when you advance to the next room there’s a group behind you. If you finish your room early but the group ahead of you hasn’t finished their puzzles in the next room and their time isn’t up yet, you might be waiting for a while. During my experience we always had time left over or moved on immediately after finishing the puzzles. This is where their score mechanic comes into play rather than time you escaped with. My group and I were the first to get a 15/15 or 14/14, something like that. This is a true love letter to the movies. If you loved the Back to The Future trilogy like me, you’ll love this escape game.

If you are looking to play an escape room DO NOT play this game. The puzzles were decent but we were pushed through the room and not given any time to actually think. This is by far one of my worst escape experiences, the only good thing were the sets. Also this room was expensive, definitely not worth the money.
