63 escape rooms
Many of the rooms at 13th Gate are production design over puzzle design and while some escape artists might prefer that, I do not. The last two rooms in Agent 13 were satisfying enough that I almost gave this a like, but at the end of the day itβs not for me. Most of my reviews for 13th Gate (aside from Tomb of Anubis) are much of the same.

Fantastic set design in line with all of 13th Gate's other rooms. We've seen this theme done several other times and I think this one does it much better. I know some people mention puzzles not working - we had one issue that was easily bypassed. I think the ending was meant to be a lot more intense, but it kinda dragged with some difficult tools for communication. Had fun though.

This is another 90 minute room disguised as a 60 minute room. There is a lot to do in the back half that is very tedious and detail oriented and we ran out of time. And we are experienced (150+ rooms each for the 4 of us), Not for beginners at all, probably would be best to book the room in back to back hours. Set and tech was amazing, although trying to scan a QR code to stop your time in the dark with no light feels a little cheap.

This was a very well done room. After hearing some of the negative thoughts about it, we were a bit worried, but this was a great room. There was a great effort out into theming throughout. There was everything that you would want to have in an agent room; Lasers, weapons, and a crazy system that is trying to kill everyone. Everything in this room helped sell the theming. From the sounds, vfx and even the smells, it was all very well done. One thing I will say is that there were some recordings and cut scenes that seemed to eat up time.

Great set design. Mostly flowed well. Unique puzzles. If you are claustrophobic may not be the game for you.

Tough room! But really enjoyed it

The puzzles in the room were great and even a reference to a good puzzle game online. The theme felt a little disconnected due to the tech vs the timeframe. Big warning for anyone with elevator phobia this room is not for you.

Started out strong but came to a grinding halt once we hit the broken puzzle. Even once the game master triggered the puzzle for us after proving that we solved it properly, the next step was anything but intuitive. Then it got better again until the end. At the very end, there are several unrelated puzzles mashed together and basically made us just not care anymore. We felt we were fighting the room rather than playing it. Which is unfortunate, because we LOVED the other 3 games we played from this company.
βThe set was enormous and detailed, with each segment so different from the others. β
