In 1923, as the Hollywoodland sign was raised over the hills of Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley was introduced to the Von Wolfhaussen Manor, built hidden amongst the valley’s orange groves, to house and treat patients with various mental illnesses. Dr. Frederick Von Wolfhaussen, a pioneer of mental illness treatment techniques, founded and ran the manor until its closing in 1971. In 2012, Dr. Frederick Von Wolfhaussen, III, the grandson of the late founding father of the manor, reopened the institution’s doors. Through the correspondence of various governmental grants, Dr. Von Wolfhaussen, III resumed treating mentally ill patients with the implementation of the latest and most modern of therapies. Today, the institution has gained a reputation of having the highest cure rates of mental disorders in the world, and there are theories that Dr. Von Wolfhaussen, III, has implemented some questionable techniques in his treatment protocols. Through recent statistical success rates, the institution has become a topic of controversy and has caught the attention of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In cooperation with the FBI, the HHS has organized a group of handpicked individuals to examine and audit Dr. Von Wolfhaussen’s institutional practices & techniques. Respectively, this mission has been named Project: 5150.

Great atmosphere. Interesting puzzles and a fun story flow. Sinister plot but not a scary room. The folk there are wonderful and are escape rooms enthusiasts, and great to chat with.

I liked this game very much. Some very creative puzzles and good ambiance. A lot of variety of rooms and styles of puzzles. The story was a bit convoluted but didn’t take away from the experience.

This was such a cool experience! The storyline was a familiar theme but a unique take on the classic asylum. I thought the ending was shocking 😉

One of the best escape rooms that I have done. Very immersive and the puzzles were challenging and creative. Loved that the room wasn’t trying to scare you but kept you more alert with its creepy atmosphere and story.

The owners are amazing and so in love with room escapes. I can see it in the details they put in the room, intense thriller type setting. Game was fun and puzzles were innovative. I liked the little touches they gave to the room, ending was fun. Would recommend and want to try their Atlantis room when I get the chance.

Excellent theme and set design, and one of the few rooms that rewards you with getting familiar and knowing the whole room and setup. Appreciate the work they put into their rooms; always fun.
