Your team of investigators has been conscripted by the CIA to investigate an alien artefact they've discovered. Sure, the artefact is doing strange things, but you'll have a non-malevolent, smart-ass AI to help you out. What could possibly go wrong?

This is a great room that makes great use of gamemaster/player interactions. The puzzles in this room are great, allowing you to deduce information with all props in the room. There is a large variety of puzzles with comedic elements in the room as well which add to the enjoyment of the room. The puzzles flow great as well since you know what answer is for which lock as well and some require out of the box thinking as well. Though the puzzles did feel a bit too easy since this is advertised as their most difficult room, we had 35 minutes remaining when finished. This room shines because the interaction with gamemaster who roleplays as the AI in the room. They are always watching and will make small comments when players do things in the room. Your enjoyment of the room will be exponentially better if you attempt to interact with the gamemaster in the room. The set is also great and feels like a secret lab and digsite. Definitely one of the favourites at Next Level!

This has been my absolute favourite escape room. GM was phenomenal, we had so much fun.

We were a group of 3 which worked really well for us, but I think 4 or 5 would be a good size team. The room really tests how well you communicate, that's much more important than group size

I want to preface this review by saying Meaghan is amazing and she really puts her heart and SOUL into helping you move through the game, she is so funny and one of the only reasons we enjoyed the game. The escape room itself is alright not really our cup of tea. The puzzles are very wordy. A lot of reading in this room which gets annoying when you’re on a time limit. It makes you want to stop playing with how much constant reading you have to do. The puzzle with the alien language we just couldn’t understand at all even after Meaghan explained it we still couldn’t understand it 😬 The rooms are small-medium sized (about 3 of them). Maybe there are better rooms at this location but we picked this one based on the reviews and left feeling meh.

Definitely the funniest most novel room we have done, jam packed with Easter eggs, really fun interactions with the “AI” in the room, set design is quite cool, fun puzzles.

This was my second favourite at Next Level, I had a great time. It’s apparently their hardest room which I didn’t feel was the case. The variety of puzzles was fantastic and easy to follow. It allowed enough room to stop and think without being overly complicated. The way they incorporated the live actor in this story was one of my favourites.

Did Ex Libris the last time we were in Sydney 3 years ago, and had so much fun that we had to return to Next Level Escape. GM, Tyla, was high energy and enthusiastic. The room itself was full of a variety of puzzles, many of which were high tech, and others that were plain wacky solves (am I really doing this?)... all good fun though! Not particularly difficult (finished with 20 minutes to spare), but challenging enough. Until next time we're in Sydney!
