This place was amazing! Yes, put this on your bucket list and make sure you take time to check this place out. The game starts right when you enter the building. Try not to memorize everything they are saying but just enjoy the experience and let yourself be a part of it! The staff was incredible, felt like we were in a movie.

The reviews for this room don’t lie it’s one of my top 5 for sure. From the moment you walk through the door till the moment you walk out the game masters are in character the whole time. The lobby set up is perfect and goes right along with the theme. The game master is brilliant and the whole theme is perfect I can’t wait to come back and do whatever else ministry has up their sleeves. Well done and can’t say more other than you have to do this room.

MUST TRY. From the staff to the live actor to the puzzles to the set design. This is one of the most magical escape rooms in LA, if not the most.

Hope End has been one of my most anticipated rooms, as it is the best ranked room in southern California. As the room is spooky and didn't allow children under 12, the Capyparents went along with our extended family while the kids were at grandma's house. As soon as you walk in the immersive theater starts, with the very, very chipper intern Janice getting us set up for the room. She gave us the backstory and asked for info about us, which ends up in a cool investigation report you get to keep later. Very awesome keepsake, and probably the best one I've seen so far. Once it starts, the spooky purveyor of Hope End, Dolores Wright, appears from the darkness and guides you into the first part of the experience, which is a split start. This room is fairly standard, requiring both sides to work together, but most of the first part is essentially searching and communication. The highlight of the experience for me was the next part, in which the theater part shines strongly. Great use of the actress and the environment here, as well as a very thematic and interactive logic puzzle. Nothing new per se, but one of the best themed implementation of it I've ever seen. You're then left alone in the last room, which is 5 different non-linear puzzles that make great use of the room and the theme. I will note that due to its age, there are some components that weren't 100% working. Luckily, they didn't prevent forward progress, but did require some GM intervention. Overall, it's very clear that Hope End does 2 things very well: the atmosphere/acting, and the tying of the puzzles to the theme. Enthusiasts who demand brain boggling puzzles might be disappointed, but for everyone else, Hope End is a must try and easily proves the hype real.

One puzzle had a damaged element, but it doesn't block your progress, as the GM can use sound prompts

The set is wonderful, the story is actually really good with unexpected twists, and the puzzles were good overall. The part of the game that I didn’t like is the part that I think most people like the best, and that is the immersive theater part of the game. Yes, the immersion starts the second you walk in and the actors do an amazing job. I just don’t like to have to act back at them. I’m not opposed to live actors in a room. Weeping Witch and Arctic Storm are both in my top ten rooms, but in each of those rooms, I didn’t have to create my own character and make things up on the fly. I just don’t like that aspect of these hybrid escape room/immersive theater games. That said, it is very highly rated as it is unique and they execute every aspect of the experience well so definitely give it a try.

Hope End is a phenomenal game and deserves all of the praise it gets, the actors do a phenomenal job bringing you into the story from the second you knock on the front door, and do not let you drop out of this story until the experience is completely over! The set design of the game was wonderful, and there were a lot of clever puzzles here. We played with 3 which is unusual for this game, as they really want you to have 4+ but they made some modifications for us which was nice. I see why they want you to have four though, there are quite a few puzzles, and some of them are pretty involved. There’s nothing I can say about the game that hasn’t already been said by hundreds of people. Go play this!

WOW this made my top favorite escape room of all time. The interaction with the live actor was so much fun and not at all scary, just spooky and cool. I loved this with every part of my being - dramatic review but just being honest! I thought the puzzles were well done and thorough. Some puzzles you may not see being solved by another group but there’s a part where it brings the group together and tracking the story (which is my favorite part of any room: the story). It was engaging and fun and so satisfying by the end. Highly, highly recommend for any big groups!
