Maritime Mutiny

Visually this game is excellent. Puzzle wise though, I think it is the weakest of the games we played here. Many of the puzzles did not connect very well. A few had solves that were a little left field. It is not a hard game.

The room was good. I would rate it medium on the difficulty level. Theming was great, and it was super fun that they let us have pirate hats to wear from the beginning. We managed 2/4 of the bonus puzzles at the end with our last 20 mins, but would have never figured the last two out.

Good room all around. Puzzles were good but it’s the atmosphere that made this room memorable Gameplay: the gameplay was very fun, and I was very happy to see a bit of the story, kind of woven into the puzzles. I feel like a lot of rooms today give you a background of a story, and then you just saw a whole bunch of puzzles that don’t really progress the story. While this room did not take great strides in doing that, it was nice to see them try it. Puzzles were fun and diverse as all raven chase rooms are. I will say this is their easiest room (not played cryptic grove) so parties with people who have done a lot of rooms and are good at them, maybe have a max of like four or five. We had six and got out in 35 minutes. Atmosphere is what really brings this room up in value. I’ve done a couple pirate theme rooms, but this one has done the best with the atmosphere with how much they made it feel like you’re on a pirate ship, as well as all the props that are used.

This is my second favorite pirate themed room of all time.

Finished in time to try the four bonus puzzles. Crushed the first two very quickly then got stuck on three for awhile. Finished that but not enough time to get fourth bonus puzzle done.

A fun room. We did it with a group of 9 with a wide range of ER experience. There were many puzzles that could be solved in parallel, which made working with a large group possible as different subgroups tackled different puzzles at once. However A group of 4-6 would be a more manageable size. The level of the puzzles was solidly mid-range, which was just as advertised on their website. The bonus puzzles available if you solve the main objective quickly enough were also fun, but expectedly also at mostly higher difficulty. The facility and the room were also wheelchair accessible, which was a requirement for our group. There was one part of the room that would require someone who could walk up a step, however. The atmospheric lighting did make seeing needed details sometimes a bit tricky, but the usual trick of using a phone flashlight took care of that. Overall, a fun room and good for groups.

This is one of the better pirate rooms we’ve done. We like the addition of bonus puzzles if you finish early. Too bad this room is being retired soon.

This was a great game, especially for beginners or novice players! Great clues, great props, and great fun. Highly recommend!

Some really imaginative puzzles in this space! This room hits a nice balance - if you're a family or new to escape rooms, this room is not too challenging. However, if you're a puzzle person, the bonus puzzles were especially tricky (even for me). Really clever room, and great set-dressing, too.
