8-Bit Escape

From the very moment I stepped into the room, I felt like I was in that era! I didn't know all the cultural references but there were enough that I was grinning with glee as I solved puzzles related to them. This room was just. plain. fun. While many puzzles were lock and key, there was also a particularly innovative puzzle type that wowed me. It was a bit short, but it was well worth it!

One of the best rooms I’ve done, hands down. Theming, clues, puzzles, overall design - perfect!

An absolute banger of an escape room. Really throws back the nostalgia and honestly had some very intricate puzzles.

One caveat first: I grew up in the 80s so a little biased. That said: LOVED this room! As a starting point, the game premise is incredibly unique, and well executed. And the theming gave me so many childhood flashbacks I was grinning ear to ear even when we had barely started the game. And the ending was a beautifully designed surprise. If I had any complaints, it would only be that the room was a little tight for our group of 5, and there were a lot of lock puzzles to solve. That said, they still managed to squeeze in some new and unique puzzles I had never seen before but were perfect for the time period theme.

I didn’t do this one but my wife and her friend did. They said they loved it, would visit if we lived in NOVA still.

Absolutely incredible! I just completed three rooms at Escape Room Herndon, and every single one was amazing. The puzzles were challenging but made perfect sense. The decorations and props were spot-on, and there were no mechanical malfunctions. The employees were outstanding. I’ve visited several escape room locations around this area, and I can confidently say that these guys are leagues ahead of the competition. Whether you’re new to escape rooms or an experienced player, I’m putting my reputation on the line when I say you’ll be thoroughly satisfied with this place. The BEST room by far in the region.

I really loved this room. The design and story were so unique. There were a few puzzles I felt didn’t flow but overall the game flow was nice. We were led astray by our GM for 5 minutes before they realized they had given us the wrong hint for where we were in the game. That was frustrating but overall I really enjoyed how unique this room was.

Absolutely spoiled for my first ever escape room. Just such cool, unique touches like the count down clock looking like an old DOS computer... Really does bring me back to my mid 90's childhood.

I can’t quite give a thumbs down bc I have played much worse but I didn’t think the game flowed well and felt stuck more than usual. Some of the puzzle solves seemed like real leaps to me.
