Mad Lab: ResurrectionGreat Room Escape - San DiegoEscape roomIRLThere’s a good mix of puzzles. A few were pretty clever and interesting to me. I usually hate it and feel uncomfortable when there’s an actor in the room, but the GM Kevin’s acting was amazing and made it feel less awkward.
Battleship - The Pirate EditionNo. 1 Escapes - Sky ParkEscape roomIRLThe best room for those who love and care about solving puzzles. It’s a PUZZLE HEAVEN! We played both Not Another Escape Room and Deceptive Games’ versions before and it’s definitely worth playing again since No.1 Escape added even more puzzles. However, you only get 2 rounds of 15 minute puzzle solving time instead of 3. (We were able to get more puzzle time by speeding through the first room, so that’s what I recommend for replay groups.) The OG is still the best in my heart, but I’m glad they were able to preserve such an epic game!

A Pirate AdventureGlo Mini Golf - RiversideEscape roomIRLWe(2 ppl) finished in less than 2 minutes….. Feel like the intro was the longest part. Nice set for a “10 minute” room though.

Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLDefinitely a magical experience! The set design is gorgeous and a lot of details to look at. It’s a room that both kids and adults will enjoy it. The puzzles might be too easy for experienced players, but it’s totally worth it to just feel the atmosphere. Again, this is by far the best 60Out room. All their room are well maintained and the staff are well trained and friendly. It’s a must do room!
Prison BreakEscape Room 66 - Laguna HillsEscape roomIRLGreat gen 1 room. I like locks more than tech so I had a great time. The owner/GM was ultra friendly and operated the game well. Looking forward for their next room!
AtlantisEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLThe game itself was nice but I really didn’t like the idea of having the GM babysitting us the whole time. We told the GM that we didn’t want any nudges, but he still kinda told us that we didn’t need to take or worry about certain thing. The experience was pretty awkward but the puzzles were actually fun and clever. The atmosphere was actually better than I thought. Overall, if you don’t mind to be physically monitored, I would definitely recommend the room.
Pirate Bay - CLOSEDMaze Rooms - TarzanaEscape roomIRLThe room was a bit underwhelming since there were a lot of empty spaces and it’s pretty short. A lot of hand on puzzles, and some of them were pretty unique. Would recommend less people since there’s not much to do.
Elf-evator - CLOSEDExodus Escape Room - Anaheim Hills, CAEscape roomIRLWe did the original version couple months ago and I like this one better. The room looked pretty much the same but they did change more than half of the puzzles. The puzzles weren’t that hard, some of them were just time consuming. Overall, it is a solid room.
Blackbeard's Lost TreasureBack In Time Escape Rooms - East TorranceEscape roomIRLKnowing where to start was the hardest part, but after that, things started to make sense. I love layered or logic puzzles and this room had plenty of them. The atmosphere was okay since their rooms were mainly about puzzles. I feel like 2 experienced players are enough for this room.
Kaboom [prev. Kablam]Redondo Beach [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLKids will love this room! I felt like the puzzles were made for young kids, so they’re all simple and straightforward. Definitely don’t overthink them. The only reason I would suggest this room is because of the ending. It’s extremely fun and I always LOVE that factor.
Christmas: Help Wanted - CLOSEDLocked AdventuresEscape roomIRLLove the ending! A great example of a Christmas room. There were a good amount of diverse puzzles. Both adults and kids could enjoy the room.
Wicked Witch60Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLThe room looked gorgeous and immersive when we first got in, but the “broken” prop killed the immersion. It’s kind of hard to believe the room was only 2 month old when there were missing parts and unintentional red herrings. l loved they had logic puzzle, which was the only part I enjoyed. Some puzzles just didn’t make that much sense or kind of boring. Overall, I don’t hate the room but wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re running out of room to do.
The Orphanage60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThe room was immersive but not too scary, which was great. However, the room was a bit short and the puzzles might be too simple for experienced players.
Zombie v.2 - CLOSEDEscape Hotel HollywoodEscape roomIRLThe room was pretty challenging especially as a group of 2. The puzzles themselves weren’t too difficult but extra hands and eyes would definitely help. The sets were solid. I liked the fact that it’s not too scary so we could focus on the puzzles.
Nautilus60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThe beginning was kinda odd to me and the rest was just alright. The puzzles weren’t that creative and one of the main puzzles wasn’t working properly. We did tell the GM that we didn’t want any nudges, but at that case, he should’ve let us know. The room was also not well maintained and not as beautiful as the ads.
Dracula60Out - MelroseEscape roomIRLBe prepared to READ!! The room wasn’t bad, it’s just I hate reading and 90% of the puzzles involved reading. First room was pretty cool though.
