MastermindFox In A Box - SherbrookeEscape roomIRLThe Game Master wasn't very engaged at all, so when we solved a puzzle, he didn't open the door for a good ten minutes while we were standing there wondering what to do next. He told us we were missing a step, but we had already done it, and the screen said we had access to the room (which we told him, but he didn't do anything about it). There were also supposed to be security alarms that would go off so we could hide from the bank guards. The alarm never went off, even at times when we knew we had triggered it. The room isn’t soundproof, so there was ZERO immersion since we could constantly hear people in other rooms talking and shouting. To make matters worse, the game master left his mic on and didn’t turn it off for a while even though we told him to. And finally, ten minutes before the end, he gave us all the answers to the puzzles one after another without asking us or even giving us time to figure them out. When we finished, we couldn’t even take a photo with the diamonds we “stole” because he told us no. Very, very expensive for an incredibly disappointing experience.
