The Pentex ConspiracyMass EscapeEscape roomIRLAnother phenomenal room from the group over at Mass Escape. This room replaced the older Ice Station military base room and you'd never even know it. An immediate split in the group made for some fun accidental puzzle breaks as we stumbled through to the main attractions. We played early in the games life and ran into some tech issues, but overall it was a fantastic experience. There are some spooky elements to this room, so be aware of you're thinking of bringing little kids to the room.
Jungle 2: The Next DimensionPuzzle Theory - South WindsorEscape roomIRLWhat a cool legally-distinct-Jumanji room. From top to bottom, it just has such great character. See it through to the very end to experience one of the craziest ending moments in a room we've seen to this day. Just...........so silly.
The U-BoatRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLWow. Red Fox's reputation preceeds them in this room and it's seen in every little detail. From the authentic looking valves and dials in the engine room, to the set dressings and mechanical elements, this room is FUN. Bonus points if you're into ships and submarines like our group was. A FANTASTIC room by a group that shows they really love the craft.
Baggage BanditsUpside Down Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis was our first room from the Upside Down team since they took over this escape room operation down in Mashpee and they didn't disappoint! A fantastic little game that absolutely flies as you jump from puzzle to puzzle- there are a few really fun puzzles and surprises that made our small group of two go WOW, too. The owners here are masters of making smaller rooms jam packed with stuff to do, and they certainly hit the mark once again since moving from Taunton. This is a must-do if you're in the area and looking for a new room to do.
The Lion's Den - CLOSEDEscape Room Concord NHEscape roomIRLA bit more cramped then the first part, this has you digging deeper into the mystery that the first part laid out. Lots of logic puzzles and seek-and-finds here with a few really cool mechanical puzzles that made us laugh and really have a memorable time. I enjoyed the room, though there were some frustrating bits that made us scratch our heads.
The EnigmaEscape Room Concord NHEscape roomIRLThis room was pitched as their first all-electronic homebrew puzzle room and it shows. What an awesome experience getting to really play around in the logic playground they constructed. There are some extremely well designed puzzles here, and a couple towards the end that made me go "Huh, did they run out of inspiration?". Overall an A+ room and highly recommended for experienced puzzlers.
Western WhistleKey To EscapeEscape roomIRLKey to Escape nailed another great room with this one. We had completed it early in its life at the escape room, so some of the tech wasn't as refined as it would become later (after talking to the owners here), but it was just such a great atmosphere. A couple good jump scares from the tech made for a fun and memorable experience that made us have to come back to try others they have.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - DedhamEscape roomIRLWe went here for my wife's birthday and it was a really pleasant experience, save for the AC being broken! The room itself is a not-too-difficult romp through time as you explore multiple rooms. Some of the puzzles required some out of the box thinking, and the answers aren't always obvious about how A connects to B, but the room has a fantastic ending with a cool prop to take home with you :)
The Sanctuary - CLOSEDEscape Room Concord NHEscape roomIRLOur team name lends to our playstyle more often then not, The Overthinkers, and man does it show in this room. So many puzzles we stared at for what felt like minutes being like........no..............there has to be something else. This was a room that was beautiful in its simplicity and really "wanted you to do exactly what you expected." We experienced some *extremely* bad clue giving during our visit to the room, but overall I would have recommended this one to anyone while it was still open.
Escape The HydeoutMission Escape Games - West Hartford, CTEscape roomIRLWe escaped, but really only because of the help of our unseen third player. We used a bunch of clues to help us through the first room, but once we picked up the thread of how the room was constructed puzzle-wize, the rest of it was smooth runnings. A great room with some cool experiences, if you're looking for a room in the area that you haven't done, give this one a look!
The Library 2.0Escape Room Concord NHEscape roomIRLBack when Part 2 first opened, we did this room and Library Part 2 back to back and woah, what an experience. The adrenaline rush of going through this first room, knowing the story continues and going RIGHT into part 2 was so dang cool. I wish more places had the space and opportunity to do this. There were a few puzzles that I felt like were near impossible without clues, but we got through it and felt great for doing so.

AftermathSpellbound EscapesEscape roomIRLWe finished this room about a year after finishing up Temple of the Laughing God, and were grouped up with another team of 2 people who had never done an escape room before so we were in for a treat. Spellbound is known for their VERY high budget sets and it carries through here as well. There are a few puzzles that would be easier with more then 4 people, and harder with more then 4, so that's kind of the sweet spot here. I wouldn't want to do this room with less then 3 or more then 5 though I think. Especially that first room. Overall, the attention to detail here is amazing and definitely a MUST experience.
The Cursed TombMonkey Mind Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA super fun movie-set quality escape room by some of the nicest people we've encountered. You can tell the owners of this place really care about their craft and it shows in how they upkeep this room. The puzzles are pretty straightforward, and we went in with two other groups of 2 who had never done rooms before (this was pre-covid). If you're in the area, check out this room for sure, it's a great experience.
Temple of the Laughing GodSpellbound EscapesEscape roomIRLWe did this room shortly after they opened and were paired with a group of 3 others that had never done an escape room before. The experience we got to witness was nothing short of madness in such a great way. There are so many fun and exciting puzzles in this room that are so interactive and physical, it's great. This room isn't really accessible friendly, unfortunately.

We did this when it was up in Taunton and are so happy to see it continue down in Mashpee. It was our first christmas themed room and it still stands out as super memorable for it.
The DollhouseCurious Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI feel like my groups experience here is so different from everyone elses. Our GM wasn't the friendliest person and the clues we received when asked didn't line up with the puzzles we were doing, or were for things we had already accomplished/moved past/had the pieces to. We've never been fans of rooms that require you to do any kind of major movement of furniture, however I could see why that would be exciting, especially in this room, or with a larger group then ours. The ambiance/atmosphere in this room is WILD though. The set design is crazy high quality, I just wish we had a better experience from a personal perspective.
Budapest ExpressEscapology - TewksburyEscape roomIRLOur group loves a good train escape room and this one did not disappoint. The set dressing was exactly what you'd expect from Escapology, and they really upped the ante with this one. The puzzles were so much fun, and while they all built up to a really disappointing final puzzle, the adventure leading up to it was A+++.
Legend of Pepe - CLOSEDPuzzlEscape HudsonEscape roomIRLWhat. A. Fun. Room. This was the first my group had done here at this location, but man was it an exciting time. Every puzzle felt like it was rooted in some kind of history, and by the end you really understood who this villain was and what they were trying to do. We love rooms that tell a good story, and this one does in spades. The props are fantastic, and even when you're not working on a puzzle there are cool things to look at and do.
