Gold RushThe Escape Game - Kansas CityEscape roomIRLLoved the atmosphere. Without using obvious technologies like screens to make us feel immersed, the set was instead built with wood and props that instantly put us in the scene. A few puzzles we knew how to complete got difficult due to problems with the room and physical components themselves. For example, a device that had specific instructions to read, but then more updated instructions that our host had to provide on the clue screen. Some clues that were physically worn to the point of unreadability. And locks that you have no way of knowing where to face the numbers/letters of the code you're using to open them. I genuinely loved the immersive nature of the place, and while puzzles in general seemed pretty randomly planted with little story cohesion, they were smart and quite varied in type.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - Kansas CityEscape roomIRLSo much fun! Plenty of puzzles of many types. A thematic story that I could follow ptetty well. And lots of surprises.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - Kansas CityEscape roomIRLBest production value I've ever seen in an escape room. Not all the absolute best puzzles -- but it's mostly forgoveable/forgettable when the puzzles aren't designed super well. Some really fun bits to this room and surprises as well.
The Great Escape Of Jasper Jinks - CLOSEDEscape CodeEscape roomIRLSimple/straightforward with a decent progression through the puzzles -- and a fun cowboy outlaws theme.
Sherlock's Secret - CLOSEDEscape Games PDXEscape roomIRLUnfortunately, it didn't feel very Sherlock-y. At best, you get a little of the time period in the ambiance.
Assassin's Deadly GameHour to MidnightEscape roomIRLGood stuff -- great villain theme with plenty of engaging puzzles and a little bit of technowizardry.
