TL;DR: Do this room. Extremely fun - currently my #1. The puzzles are awesome (Difficulty, Creativity, and Design), the mix of experiences is great, the story is hilarious, and the set is gorgeous and massive. Will be back to Hatch if we ever get the chance. Liked: - There are several videos and "cutscene" moments in this room. The timer stops for all of them. It's such a small thing, but I've never seen it before. It was a great little "break" moment each time, let us really enjoy the story that was happening, and helped us reset before the next thing. - Fun and lighthearted story. The visual media, set, music (!!), and even lighting all kept the mood really fun, even in slightly tense points. - Fantastic set and reveals. No spoilers, but there's MUCH more to this room than you would think. The physical layout is a lot of what made this room so great. - Very well-designed puzzles. If you're struggling to figure something out, it's you being dumb, not the room being unclear. Every clue and puzzle very logically connects and flows, and when you see something it's very obvious. You never have to randomly guess for answers, just hunt around for a thing, or plug in random info you see around the room. - Very satisfying solutions. Lighting, sound fx, or physical rewards for puzzles ranged from small and satisfying to huge "YUUUUUS" moments. Each win felt awesome. - Unique variety of puzzles. I haven't done hundreds of rooms, but there were multiple puzzles and moments in this room that I doubt I'll ever see again, every single one logically and clearly designed. Could be Improved: - Anticlimactic Ending. The middle of the room was the best. The last puzzle was a bit weak (if you could call it a puzzle), and after we finished our group was standing there with our hands in the air like "did we do it??", only for the victory message to play about 20 seconds later. - The artwork for one puzzle is inaccurate to what it's supposed to represent, which cost our group about 60 seconds until the GM told us what it was supposed to be. It's a very minor thing, but caused us some confusion lol.

Liked: - Great room reveals and progression. Small space, but felt big. - Great mix of puzzle styles - Non-linear, but with clear progression within each section. I've done non-linear games that had lots of little pieces, but they didn't tie together until near the end of the game. This game had several non-linear sub-lines running at once. Felt more satisfying to have several "We finished this series of puzzles" as we went than dozens of little puzzles. - Fantastic vibe and atmosphere. - Very satisfying and clear ending. Cleverly done and super surprising! (No spoilers, but we were all very happy with how things finished!) Could Improve: - Things started abruptly. The front desk staff were in the room with us, and awkwardly sort of transitioned into being "in character", if you could call it that, as we signed the waivers and went to the room. - There were 3 instances where a puzzle would only work if another (sort of related) puzzle was also in a solved state first. Not all bad, but it wasn't clear. So, each of those times, we solved a puzzle, then were like "OK, but nothing happened", then proceeded to second guess, only for the GM to have to tell us "That's correct, but this also needs to be done". I wish there were some way to say "You completed this micro-puzzle, now find other things to do!", or to direct you to the first in a string of puzzles more obviously/. Definitely recommend this room. 3 people felt like a good size, but 2 more could comfortably fit. Nothing "mind-blowing", a lot of "That was really well done!", and no "That was lame/frustrating". Escaped with 11:30 remaining. 2 semi-experienced players, 1 newbie.
