Dark DungeonLost LocksEscape roomIRLGreat room for a change from typical rooms. Wouldn't go with more than 4 as you'd run out of space. Not many clues but it being pitch black is enough.
Legend of The SwordEscape Hunt - Gold CoastEscape roomIRLWe did this room as a 2 and had a lot of fun. The puzzles aren't overly difficult, but there are a lot of them, so it was still reasonably challenging to get through it all. Think we took about 50 minutes. The theme of the room is well put together and flows well. You do start separated, I only wish there was a little bit more to do through co-op before you join together. I've been waiting years for escape hunt to open some new rooms, so nice to see they have new ones and more on the way.
The Cursed PassageOtherWorld HQEscape roomIRLDidn't love this. The woman on the desk and acting game master was really off putting. Assumed her complete lack of facial expression, cherrless monotone and several second delay to answering any question was part of an act, but I think she just doesn't enjoy her job. A lot of the puzzles involve tapping things but the response from a tap was variable so it didn't always trigger which was frustrating. Its also not always clear on whether you've finished a room/been timed out but the next room isn't open yet. Some rooms you're just standing there. I think it's a nice idea but just not executed that well. It clearly took a lot to put together the rooms, but the individual puzzles feel cheap and if they were in one room would just be boring
R18Lost LocksEscape roomIRLThe theme is well done and the room is fun, but disappointingly short and not that tricky. We had great fun but just went in to mess around without much focus on tackling the puzzles and it only took 17 minutes. That said, we do a lot of rooms
The CollectorVamoose Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery oldschool room, it's predominantly locks and extremely linear. For a newly opened escape room place, i would have expected something more innovative, this reminded me of rooms I was doing 15 or so years ago. It wasn't a bad room, I was just a bit bored due to the relative simplicity. I would go back and try their harder room though. Update. Owners contacted me with a refund due to the above review. This was surprising as I've done far worse rooms and was more than happy to pay for this one. I left a review on morty as I see this as a place for enthusiasts/experienced players, where as Google could have put off novice players who might get more out of the room. Considering I'd already hearted how we were treated, the people working there couldn't have been better, this really just added to the impression that they care about customer satisfaction.
사라진 황제 [Materia Medica]Breakout HongdaeEscape roomIRLThey have a concept of having different characters with abilities, it's pointless and just requires extra explanations. It's not a bad idea all together, but it is poorly executed/utilised. The room isn't great. It's linear puzzles but there's not actually anything in the room to give you clues, you just solve the puzzle. This means it becomes a lot more like a table top or computer based escape room as the actual room becomes a bit redundant. The first puzzle annoyingly has no clues and you either know how it works or you don't. You can't really puzzle it out, the hint is just the answer. The 6th puzzle makes no sense at all. It makes no sense with a hint, it makes no sense with the answer and it makes no sense with the explanation of the answer. I have no idea what on earth they were getting at. Other than that the clues were straight forward. Which means the whole room was unsatisfying as it's a combination of frustrating and a bit boring
