Lucky Dice DinerExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLLoved this game, so much fun from beginning to end. The music, the sounds, the lights and the food! There was so many puzzles in this game and all were so clever. The staff were friendly and thorough with any questions or puzzle connection we wanted to know about. The ending puzzle was my favorite and we will definitely be back for the other games here.
Wednesday: Eve of the OutcastsNetflix House - PhiladelphiaEscape roomOther This is a beautiful, well built place. There is no denying that. The rest of the experience is a little lacking for the price. Many of the “games” are broken, acting up, or working fine but eat your very limited tokens. We are glad we did the phone scavenger hunt or else we would have not seen several hidden section of the space so maybe that is a plus. Being with a bunch of strangers and packed into a small space at the beginning was a little uncomfortable and not well listed online. Going into the other experience we had a better idea of what to expect.
The Wizard's SecretProject EscapeEscape roomIRLThe game eventually got brighter, but a lot of it was very dark and we all felt like we needed our phone flashlights. Harry Potter fans may go bonkers for this game or just say meh. We liked the other game better.
The Pirate ShipAmazing Escape Room - King of PrussiaEscape roomIRLOur Cell did not open until we waved and screamed at cameras for like 10 minutes. We solved the puzzle so quick but nothing g happened for our side.
One Piece: Quest for the Devil FruitNetflix House - PhiladelphiaEscape roomOther My friends wanted to like this more than Wednesday but it was just fine. Very cool lights and sounds but gameplay was repetitive at multiple steps. The ending was very big and had us running but the mech seemed broken until we fiddled with it. Our group of 6 was packed in with 6 others so 4 separate groups all working together. It did function well and forced communication but I would have rather played with just our group. I know many years ago escape rooms were public but everyone we have played is just our own group except for the escape game in the mall where we were joined for 1 game. The staff seemed to be starting groups every so often so maybe they are speeding up the process from 30 minutes between games. More escape room like than Wednesday but still not really puzzles. Netflix could better.
