Southport School for WizardsMaine Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWe love Maine Escape Games! We’ve completed three rooms so far: Uncle Ned’s Cabin, Dr. Gem’s Time Trap, and Southport School for Wizards, and each one has been great. The rooms are fun, immersive, and well-designed, with puzzles that are challenging without being too obscure or frustrating. We’ve done escape rooms in many different places, and Maine Escape Games is one of our favorites. Our only complaint is that they need some cool memorabilia! They could make some extra money from escape room enthusiasts like us who love collecting T-shirts, stickers, mugs, or other souvenirs to remember each experience. We’d definitely buy them.
The CryptEscape New HavenEscape roomIRLThis was our first escape room experience and it was loved by everyone in our family young and old. My daughter loved it so much that upon leaving her first comment was, "When can we do another one !?!"
Sherlock's LibraryAll In Adventures - HadleyEscape roomIRLThis was the WORST escape room we have ever done, and we have done a ton of escape rooms. It was extremely repetitive and boring, basically just paper clues and padlocks over and over, with almost no immersion, no detail, and no creativity. The puzzles were not clever or satisfying, just frustrating. What made it even worse was how poorly it was run. Things were broken, including the timer not working! When we asked for a hint, staff were not actively monitoring the room. They came in, asked us to explain what we had solved so far, and then simply gave us the code. That is not a hint, that is the answer and a waste of time, and it completely ruins the experience. This was beyond disappointing and absolutely not worth the price. We have paid far less for escape rooms that were infinitely better. Do not waste your money or your time on this place.
