Der Spielzeugmacher [Toy Maker]Big Break HamburgEscape roomIRLThis is the escaperoom I work at. I'll rate it as objectively as I can. I played this room with my coworker to test it out before it got opened to the public. - The set design is absolutely amazing. The details are crazy and everything got designed with a lot of thought and love. - The story is interesting, makes sense and you're able to dive into it immediately from the beginning. - The riddles are something else. Some of them I have never seen before in other rooms and they are a lot of fun. The members of the group have to really work together to get through it. - Since we were a testgroup, one of the big riddles didn't work, but nowadays it works perfectly without any problems :) - Hints were well-timed and understandable. The riddles itself aren't hard, but since there are a lot of riddles, it does take some time to get through and you have to do a lot in a minimum of time - It's really immersive and makes a lot of fun All in all: Even though I work at the company, I can objectively say that this room is really amazing. We haven't gotten any bad review to this room yet and it's the best room my bosses have ever created. It's a lot of fun and I'd recommend it every single time. 5/5.
The Lost Treasure Of Alexander Von HumboldtThe RoomEscape roomIRLThis room is definitely not big enough for more than 3 people and expects you to crawl and climb a lot, but I did enjoy the concept of it! The riddles were fun and they integrated a lot in such a small space, which was astounding.
Metropolis 2099Dream LabsEscape roomIRLAfter using the dreampod to dream about a specific piratestory that day, we used it a second time to travel into a Cyberpunk-ess world. And I have to be honest: this one was even more impressive than the pirate one. The set design was immaculate, the riddles this time actually had us think a bit more than the ones in the other room. As someone who's not a big fan of stories about the future and robot-stuff and such - I could still see how impressive everything actually was. We had a lot of fun and while I enjoyed the pirate one more when it came to fun, this one is more enjoyable when it comes to actually playing an escaperoom. Loved it, 100% recommended.
Geisterjäger Brandon Darkmoor [Ghosthunter Brandon Darkmoor]The RoomEscape roomIRLThis immersive experience had me laughing, dancing and startling. Our gamemasters Helena and Markus were amazing and we had a great time experiencing this room. You definitely can't call it an escaperoom in the classical sense, but nonetheless - it was pretty amazing. The riddles that we had to solve were perfectly incorporated into the whole story and room itself. The set design and special effects are great! You can really feel the love and work that was put into this room. The room loves surprising you and there wasn't one moment I could recall that I was feeling bored or annoyed. Amazing room and definitely recommended!
Geisterjäger Ernie Hudson und der Zoo des Todes [Ghost Hunter Ernie Hudson and the Zoo of Death]SkurrilumEscape roomIRLI played this room with a coworker (we're gamemasters) and a friend. This is one of my absolute favorite rooms I've played. - The set design is immaculate. Skurrilum really has an eye for amazing set designs. - The riddles were really easy, but still fun - The atmosphere was great. We were able to dive into the story perfectly and immediately - The gamemaster was really nice. She helped us dive into the story a lot - The mechanics of the room itself were well thought out and worked perfectly All in all: One of my favorite rooms. We had the time of our lives. 5/5. Definitely recommended (and already did recommend it to a lot of people).
Die Legende vom herzlosen Piraten [The Tale of the Heartless Pirate]Dream LabsEscape roomIRLAfter hearing so many good things about this room, I was still highly skeptical. Not about the design - I was expecting that to be insanely amazing. But about the kind of escaperoom it would be. I'm not a fan of immersive rooms with too easy or no riddles at all. So believe me when I say - I was positively surprised about this room. The interactions with the actor were really funny and we loved playing along. The atmosphere was great, the music really fitting. The humor in this room was really top-notch. And most importantly - we had to solve lots of riddles. They weren't too hard, but they were fun and I utterly enjoyed them. The dreampod-thing before the escaperoom is something so simple, but also very new and I liked the idea of it a lot. In the end: I do understand the placement this room had in the TERPECA ranking and I loved playing it. Definitely recommended, even if you have never played Monkey Island before.
Tomb HunterFinest EscapeEscape roomIRL"Usually in escaperooms you are not allowed to climb on stuff. But this time - you have to." I LOVED how active this room was. Climbing, crawling, jumping down - everything was so much fun and reminded me of the time as a child on the playground. The room design is great and the riddles made sense for the type of room it was. The story was okay - the "plottwist" wasn't surprising considering the type of story it was. But we had lots of fun and I really loved the time I spent in there. Definitely recommended.
The Dark ForestHorror StoriesEscape roomIRLI had fun playing this room. Before it started, I was insanely scared due to the expectations I had for this room since a lot of people told me it'd be one of the scariest escape rooms in Germany. To be honest: that fear vanished rather quickly. I did panic whenever we got hunted, but fear wasn't really present. I did get hurt quite a bit, which is pretty easily to achieve in this room, but it wasn't too bad. The actor in the beginning was AMAZING! He played his role soo well, it was great. The other actress was good too, but was mostly screaming at us, so there's not much to say about her character. The riddles are really really easy, which is to be expected of a horror room. But it was okay. The forest itself looked good, while being significantly smaller than I thought it would be. Since the forest is an open space, it was way too easy to find your way and since we also solved the riddles really fast, the actors almost had no time for their timed jumpscares 😅 But all in all, it's an enjoyable room even for a scaredy cat like me.
The Hidden Chamber: Der Schatz Der Alten Meister [The Hidden Chamber: The Treasure of the Ancient Masters]Salzufler UnterweltEscape roomIRLNot my favorite room of this company in any way, but it at least had a very great and authentic set design. The introduction was way too long for my taste and the riddles were too easy, if you could even call them actual riddles. Other than the authenticity and immaculate props the room doesn't have much going for it, I did still enjoy it enough though.
Die Gasse [The Alley]Rätselraum Ruhrpott [prev. Escape Room Bochum]Escape roomIRLA fun room for any Harry Potter-fan! Since I cannot say that this description would fit my person, I wasn't too fond of this room's theme, but the puzzles were varied and fun, the set design is great. The gamemaster did her job very well. In my honest opinion this room isn't as amazing as a lot of people say, but it still deserves its good reviews
