AI ApocalypsePuzzled Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI will start by saying we enjoyed the room. We played as a team of six, and this was simply too many people for the space. There is a table that you’re sitting by that has bench seating on two sides, and you’re expected to sit for people on the benches. There are then two stools that you can put where you want. Without giving away any of the gameplay, there are things that you put on the table, but the table just simply isn’t big enough for what you need to put on there. It felt all elbows, four people squashed on the two bench seats, working around a small table, everybody getting in everybody’s way. You get complimentary snacks and drinks which was a very warm welcome. The puzzles themselves really are very good. There is clever interaction with some of the digital parts of the game, and it is a very modern puzzle room. I would call it a puzzle room rather than escape room, because it really didn’t feel like an escape room. Still an enjoyable afternoon.

The Secret of the Leopard PeopleKanyu EscapeEscape roomIRLA difficult one to write. We like hard escape rooms, and this was hard. We didn’t get out, and that won’t be the last time we don’t escape a room. That bit we don’t mind. We were initially impressed when we arrived at the high spec of the venue. Took a bit of a nose dive as our host was a bit too condescending 😢 A real shame, as it put us on a downer before we even entered the room. The puzzles themselves were imaginative. A few frustrating times when we had the correct answers but nothing happened, and the hosts response was “just give them a wiggle”. Not a traditional room, but we liked that. Sort the host out and we will be back.
