Jack the RipperPraterHauntHaunted houseJust a very old-school haunted house that surprised us with its scale, length, and some fun elements at the end. While I enjoyed experiencing what haunted houses were like 30 years ago, I’d love to see there a revitalized, modern scare attraction on this scale in the future.
Anoma MazeDoloris - UtrechtHauntMazeVery cool experience. I think that this concept is best to enter with as little knowledge as possible, so I'm just going to leave a few remarks and recommendations that might help you decide if its for you or not: It is quite physical, and we definitely left with some bruises. Do not expect any puzzles or much interactivity. It is not haunt either, since it is not actively scary, but there might be some claustrophobic parts. There is a limited number of people that can enter the experience per hour, but make sure to go on the most quiet time possible (check the booking site for that). We went on Tuesday at noon, it was very quiet, which was perfect, I think more people would only take away from the experience.
Horror Night [Outdoor]Noční BojovkaHauntHaunted trailNoční bojovka organizes these haunted trails across the Czech Republic and I did one in Brno. I really like the simple concept: follow the light through a pitch black forest and avoid the monsters, who try to take your “life” away (you’re given a glowing bracelet that represents your life). The beginning was especially tense since walking through the woods at night is scary on its own, but we got used to the darkness over time, which made it easier. I wish the groups were spaced out a bit more, since we ran into the group ahead of us near the end. For that reason I’d recommend booking the earliest slot (ideally the very first of the night) to avoid crowds. I also missed some story or stronger theme, it would really elevate everything to another level. Now, It was just a mix of random horror characters chasing you around. Overall we had a very fun night and I would recommend it.
