The Sorcerer's SecretCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGreat room as always from Crypto. I appreciate the “hard mode” options on puzzles when you’re ahead in time. We’ve completed their other rooms quite quickly. This gives a more full experience without making it too hard.
Room 057Trapped - MarkhamEscape roomIRLWe would give it a thumbs sideways. The puzzles were fun enough as they lasted. The set design was basic. While the last clue was cute, when we escaped we felt as though there ought to have been…more…we left feeling underwhelmed.
The Steampunk ExpressThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLWe love Imaginarium. Their first two games we breezed through with record times. This one was much harder! There were some points we just didn’t know what to do. It was still fun and immersive though!
Where Dark Things Dwell [Outdoor]Secret City Adventures- Black Creek Pioneer VillageEscape roomIRLWe’ve done it twice. Some puzzles are better than others, but you do this one for the experience. The plot is cheesy, and some people will eat that up.
Escape The Ghost ShipEscape The Ship - TorontoEscape roomIRLThis was a fun experience. We got to be in our own little group (5), which helped. I don’t think it would have been great to be paired with others given how intimate the each group space is. I am not a fan of most games with actors. Even though they were essential here they somehow weren’t as annoying as in other games. It would be nice if there was some more built in sailing time, as we didn’t really get to appreciate that we were on a boat since we were busy solving puzzles.
Pirate's PrizeFreeing Canada Station – TorontoEscape roomIRLWe loved this room. We were 6 people and surprisingly we all stayed engaged - but I would still recommend it more for 4. It’s not a fancy tech experience, but the set is still nice and manual games can be fun too! It ranked far above any other rooms at this location for us.
Unforeseeable PyramidFreeing Canada Station – TorontoEscape roomIRLThis was okay. The game was not reset properly. We then solved a puzzle in a way they hadn’t considered before and it took the GM awhile standing in front of it to figure out why it was “wrong”. There was also more temptation to brute than I like. Not a bad room but not on my most recommended list either.

The Lost ShipwreckCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLExcellent as always when you go to Crypto. Their sets are immersive but unlike other companies you don’t lose out on puzzle play as a result. Highly recommend anything here.
Firefighter Rescue MissionEscape From The 6Escape roomIRLThis was a fun, unique experience. I don’t get why people love it soooooo much as an escape room, but as an activity it was enjoyable.
The Grand Wilshire HotelThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLOn the one hand it’s very typical, but on the other hand there are some unique elements here. We love Imaginarium and recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to do a room in the GTA. They are as solid as the large companies with which they compete.
The Cursed TempleCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe beta tested this so it may have changed since then. It was awesome at the time, with a few kinks that were likely sorted out. The owners provide an excellent experience.
The Wrath of Amun RaThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLGreat room. It’s immersive and fun.
Below ZeroCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLCrypto is one of our favourite companies and this was one of our favourite rooms. We tend to breeze through their rooms - yet it doesn’t seem like they’re too easy, just that we “get” their thinking. The tech was cute here, as well as the story.
The ExtractionCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was one of their less exciting rooms but it was still solid. Good puzzles, good plot, excellent customer service as always. As I’m coming from Toronto, I’d do it along with another one of their rooms as an add on.
Kilgore CabinCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLExcellent room. A tad creepy but mostly if you scare each other. Great game play as always with Crypto.
The Truth Of Osaka High - CLOSEDMayzeEscape roomIRLWe really like this room. It involved some crawling and a lot of manual puzzles - but those things can still be fun! The puzzles mostly made sense, and the set was not complicated but still immersive.
Escape The Wild WestEscape From The 6Escape roomIRLThis was…boring for us. There were some elements that perhaps in the past were unique. But there was a lot of sitting on the ground not doing much too.
The Missing WillEscape Games CanadaEscape roomIRLThis was a solid room. I don’t always love what Escape Games is doing with games adapting to players (it seems forced and can be frustrating), but this time it didn’t interfere with our game play. It was fun to have side quests we could do when we knew we had extra time.
Kingdom Of CatsOmventure - MarkhamEscape roomIRLThis is a great beginner game. It’s cute and fun, but also simple. It was excellent years ago, but now is less impressive. A team of 3-4 is ideal - I’m not sure how much fun it would be for their max.
