Phantom Files: The Investigation Of Lockturne ManorThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLWe did all the rooms at this location, the puzzles are not super hard so we actually escaped them all with limited or no hints BUT the sets are incredible a lot of care and upkeep goes into these rooms. Every staff member was fantastic - Jake Blake and Hayley were our GMs, all got into character and had us spooked or belly laughing These rooms are a must for enthusiasts we will be traveling to their Orlando locations for more. The flow of the rooms makes sense and despite having tons of plays nothing was worn down. These rooms are highly ranked for a reason and you feel immersed, down to sounds and smells.
Nightfall: Creature At Camp DeadwoodThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLA few jump scares! Made it more of a thriller. Very linear puzzling which we enjoy so we don’t miss things/feel included in what the other person is doing. The set is complete with the smells of a camp fire.
Click 'N Glitch Arcade PalaceThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLSuch a blast! We had a 10 year old with us and this was a great room for her to be joining too. Not scary, but funny/fun! Lots of laughs and we love the interaction with the game master. The quality of the room/design is great.
Curse of the PharaohEscape Room AdventuresEscape roomIRLWe took no hints! Easier room but very good engineering- they said the room is only a month old so the puzzles were super fresh and working great. Groot had a blast in this room because the puzzles flowed well so you were quickly moving from one thing to the next. 2 person team for enthusiasts is perfect for the size of this room. 3 person team for newbies
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLWe didn’t escape!!! They let us struggle and fail and I’m SO glad they did. We told them no hints unless we ask and our game master held true, major props to them! We are coming back to try again because I don’t know if we even made it through a full half. There are so many puzzles but pretty stepwise so I do think a smaller group is better 2-3 enthusiasts but they need to be nimble because it’s just so many puzzles. This is the old gold rush room but feels completely different.
Devil's DenEscape Garden StateEscape roomIRLWe used more hints than typically because we were rusty, but we enjoyed being split into two different rooms. They sent someone in to run the room for us so we were very grateful. Would have liked a little more background on the differences between the two rooms, but it really didn’t impact us and overall we had a great time.
The Double-CrossEscape New HavenEscape roomIRLThis is a very small game, but with loads of puzzles in the tiny space. We liked it because the different puzzles both touched on Groot and my skill set so we both were needed for the escape. I would recommended a smaller group , max 4 people due to the space.
BreathlessMind Factory Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAnother great room. We love this company and the owner is fantastic. I would argue they have the best games in CT in terms of storyline, immersion and challenge. Breathless was an easier room and first in the storyline, but the puzzles really flow and have some unique puzzles/thrills we haven’t had before. Must do rooms if you’re in CT.
The Davinci ChallengeLara's Labyrinth - MiddletownEscape roomIRLVery tough to do with 2 folks I think we used 3 hints, but it was such a fun room. Would have definitely helped to have 1-2 more people. Super interesting puzzles, the tech was awesome. Can’t wait to do more. This was probably our favorite Laras room so far. The set was immersive and lots of hands on puzzles
GrimmThe Lost Room Escape AdventuresEscape roomIRLThis is the room that got us into doing escape rooms. We were blindfolded and handcuffed and it was a blast. Unique ways to give hints. The owner clearly is invested in your experience
