What Lies BeneathDisomus Escape ProjectEscape roomIRLWe loved this room. Played it with my 12yo son. He had a good time. The atmosphere of the business and the room were really great. The puzzles were mostly linear so a smaller group would be best. Really enjoyed the progression through the story.
The Fortune TellerBreak Free Escape GamesEscape roomIRLStraight forward, linear, simple room. Very 1st-gen. I think there were a total of 8 puzzles that either gave a standard # or word answer for locks. Was done in 30 minutes, and that included letting our 8 year old do most of the work. Nothing wrong with the room, for a single-room gen 1 experience, should be cheaper though.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - LynnfieldEscape roomIRLThis game was well themed but had two Achilles heels. One of the puzzles relies on a method of interaction that was highly unreliable which made it essentially impossible. We wasted 10 minutes before the GM asked if we wanted to skip that puzzle, and they later told us most teams skip it. Another puzzle gives you a certain amount of something, which was not nearly enough to accomplish what you needed to do with it (not that there was waste, there just wasn’t enough to begin with, or the puzzle was set up wrong). Either way it left us having to guess half of the solution. It’s a shame because the rest of the room was so well done, but these ruined the experience. This is the first room at the Escape Game Lynnfield that I wouldn’t recommend.

The Academy of Witchcraft & WizardryA Great Escape Utah at Gardner VillageEscape roomIRLFun Harry Potter themed room. Many puzzles were fun. One has an issue where it’s only solvable if you don’t move elements that are moveable at the start. If you ‘gather’ elements thinking you need to rearrange them, the puzzle becomes impossible as there is only enough information to complete the puzzle if you never moved anything from their original positions.
Soyle's PlotMystery NHEscape roomIRLFun room with a very unique theme. Loved the greenhouse aspects and the story went in a very fun direction.
Heart Of The MountainUltimate RealitiesEscape roomIRLSuch a cool adventure! Definitely a notch above typical escape rooms, in fact, escape isn’t the point, unlocking the story is. This place has such fun mechanical puzzles; you really feel like you are taking on this adventure, rather than just solving puzzles to unlock things. I’ve never seen such freedom to engage and interact with the rooms! Steve (the creator) and Jess (our park ranger guide) were fantastic! I can see why they want you to have at least 3 people to do this, but my wife and I were able to do everything just the two of us (with a little more hectic running than you otherwise might have). Highly recommended, even to jaded escape roomers!
