Something's Out There!Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLThis was probably the spookiest room we’ve ever done and it was a lot of fun. Atmosphere is very immersive, a bunch of fun jump scares and creepy props, but it’s not gory or over the top. The puzzles were the right level of difficulty, but there were definitely things that were not at all obvious that we needed a hint for, which added a nice level of complexity. There were a few things that needed to be pushed down a little more to trigger the sensors. Otherwise, a very creepy and fun experience! Our GM was very nice and prodded us along when we needed it.
Black DragonEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLWe loved this escape room from start to finish. Lots of puzzles to solve, large space and incredibly immersive. Beautiful set design, super fun start to the game, innovative way of giving clues, a lot of different types of puzzles, lots to do in one hour. We escaped with a few clues and we definitely felt some time pressure! Overall this was a fanatic experience and we really enjoyed it! I think this was definitely one of our favorite escape rooms we’ve ever done. The puzzles weren’t too difficult or obscure but they flowed so well and it was just a ton of fun.
Da Vinci's ChallengeQuest Room - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThis was one of our least favorite escape rooms we’ve ever done, unfortunately. We loved the other rooms at this location so it was a real let down. The room looked fun and impressive, but the puzzles were just confusing and to be honest, not a lot of fun. It was a bit dark and the lights went on and off at odd times, and there seemed to be some sort of an echo in the speaker which made the hints from our very nice game master almost impossible to understand. The main thing, though, was that the puzzles themselves were just not clever or fun. It was not story driven at all, just a bunch of random stuff to work through, which made it kind of boring and a little tedious.
Nautilus60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThis room was just ok. We ended up breezing through in about half an hour. It’s probably fun if it’s your very first escape room, but for us it was a little too easy.
