Le Game Show [The Game Show]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLDone as a group of 2 adults and 2 preteens. We had fun. I moderately understood the link between the different sets and the theme, but it was a great overall experience! Pretty funny theme, unpretentious. Perfect for beginners.
Funzy CouzLa Clef De L'Énigme - Saint-BrunoEscape roomIRLThis was our first experience at La Clef de l'énigme (2 adults and 2 preteens, after about 20 rooms in total), and we got stuck on practically every puzzle! We had to ask for way more clues than in other rooms rated as intermediate... There wasn’t enough of a connection between the available information and the actions we needed to take. Visually stunning, but otherwise it was frustrating not to understand what we were supposed to do... Unfortunately, very disappointing.
Projet R.E.S.E.T. [Project R.E.S.E.T.]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWe were 2 adults and 2 tween girls (less than 20 rooms done). It's a linear story, which was perfect for us! Really original theme, beautiful decor. Highly recommend!
Mor DrakkarSOS Aventures - Saint-JérômeEscape roomIRLGroup of 2 adults and 1 10-year-old child, we all loved it! Beautiful decor, great immersion (there's a dark part, if your child is scared of the dark). We got stuck in a few spots, but the level was still perfect for beginners (this was our 12th room). The hints given helped us finish on time, very friendly GM. Another great experience at SOS aventures!
Visite Libre [Free Visit]Evasion EvolutionEscape roomIRLWe were a group of beginners (2 adults and 2 preteens), and we needed help a few times. We were a bit confused at first, but once we solved the first puzzle, the rest was a lot of fun! Beautiful decor and an original theme. I highly recommend it for families with kids—everyone had a great time!
L'Ecole de la Magie60 Minutes Jeux D'Évasion - Montée MassonEscape roomIRLThe decor is beautiful! The atmosphere is impressive. This was our ninth escape room (two adults and a 10-year-old), and I wouldn’t classify it as a beginner’s room. We’ve done intermediate rooms that required fewer clues. We still managed to escape by the skin of our teeth!
Mission Nain-Possible [Mission IMP-Possible]SOS Aventures - Saint-JérômeEscape roomIRLVery nice decor with a fun theme in Mission Nain-Possible. Original puzzles and mechanisms, we really enjoyed our experience! This was our 8th room ever (2 adults and 1 10-year-old child). We needed a few hints to finish in time. The only less fun point: it wasn't always obvious whether a mechanism had triggered something. Like a sound or a door opening right next to us, for example.
L’archéologue Perdu [The Lost Archaeologist]Évade-Toi St-JérômeEscape roomIRLI wasn't impressed with the condition of the room. You could tell it was old... Lots of padlocks, but a few puzzles were still original. It went well with our 10-year-old daughter, except for the loud music, which was distracting. My partner loved it as a first experience, though! The staff was overwhelmed during the holidays, but still very friendly.
En Grève - Chez Mimi Cupcakes - COMING SOON60 Minutes Jeux D'Évasion - Montée MassonEscape roomIRLOur small group of beginners (two adults and a 10-year-old) really enjoyed the experience! The atmosphere was great. The decor was beautiful, and the attention to detail was impressive! Luckily, the game master gave us several clues to help us out. The puzzles are logical, but we wouldn’t have figured them out on our own! haha We’d mentioned beforehand that we wanted to finish on time, and they accommodated us. The GM was really nice to our little girl and encouraged her. Truly a wonderful experience—thank you!
Retenue à Riverdale - CLOSEDParadox42Escape roomIRLWow! Perfect decor, impeccable attention to detail, and truly original puzzles (for two adults and a 10-year-old preteen, all beginners). Everything was clean, and nothing was broken. I really loved the theme—I was a huge Archie fan when I was younger ;) We got stuck in a few places, but the clues helped us finish on time. We were told that the room would have had additional puzzles to solve if we’d been faster. I love the idea of adapting to the visitors’ skill level. A really great experience—thanks, Paradox!
Le Sentier du Maître-Constructeur [The Master Builder’s Path]Enigma-TicEscape roomIRLBeautiful, immersive decor and truly original puzzles! We needed some help to finish, since we’re beginners (we’ve done fewer than 10 rooms, 2 adults aged 10 and up). We had a lot of fun. The only thing I would have changed is that the music was too loud for our taste toward the end. Other than that, it was #1. Thanks!
