Prison BreakThe Escape Game - Penn QuarterEscape roomIRLI absolutely love this company. Every room is crafted so well and the puzzles are always perfectly done, unique, and creative! This room in particular was an absolute blast. The mechanics of being separated in the beginning and communication skills required makes you think beyond what any other room has done.
Who Stole Mona?Escapology - WalthamEscape roomIRLEscapology is such a wildcard and a hit or miss. This particular room at this particular Escapeology was pretty well run. The room itself had a *mostly* smooth gameplay and was non-linear. I would recommend this room to any group that involves a wide spectrum of experience in escape rooms. I wrote a little more about the particular mechanics of the room below. But overall, for escapology, not bad.
Mansion MurderEscapology - DestinEscape roomIRLAwful experience. First, the staff was lazy, has no enthusiasm - but I understand that not everyday is full of excitement so I let that slide. I specifically did NOT sign up for the "kids version" but upon entering the room I was presented with the kids "helper sheet". No worries though I can just ignore it right? Wrong. They changed the room to adjust to the kids version which led me down a bunch of dead ends. At one point we received a puzzle that was unsolvable because they had adjusted the room, so I spent a good 30 minutes on something that wasn't even going to get me anywhere because they made it quite literally impossible to solve. Items were broken, the room was old, it was EXTREMELY hot. I love escape rooms and it takes a lot for me to not like one so this was a huge disappointment. PLEASE do NOT book this room.
